That never occurred to me. I wear glasses and a mask fogs the lenses.

I doubt I can do it but feel the rifle can in the right hands.

The third firearm will be this Henry SGC. It has a youth stock and a custom large loop.

This No.105 3-hole Stevens peep is attached to a skinner base. The Stevens is from Europe and the threads are slightly different. It fits but it must remain on this base because putting it on a new base will eventually strip the threads.

The front sight is a Lyman Globe with a peep insert.

This sight combination is great for shooting targets. It is accurate but slow to get on target.

Never. I would end up shooting myself in the armpit.

That was Chuck Connors in The Rifleman. John Wayne used a different loop just like this custom lever. It matches the loop in Rio Bravo.

They were custom made by an eBay seller about eight years ago. I can take a $300 rifle, throw another $500 into it to end up with a $200 rifle.

well understood .... all tooooo well understood .... I've spent $$$$ on all of the firearms I use and chalk it up as an investment that makes them more fun to fire .... from that standpoint, I don't mind the expense .... plus, the more I enjoy using them, the more my cost per use goes down ...

I stopped near Lincoln, NM for some plinking. The berm is 100 yards away. It’s a place where the locals shoot.

A few years ago I camped in Capital, NM for a few days and asked around. One time I was there when a deputy sheriff was there practicing. He knew I wasn’t a local and asked me not to shoot while he was there. I knew enough not to argue with him and asked if he minded if I ate lunch and he said no. A no answer that meant yes I could eat lunch. Then I sat there eating and bugging him as much as I could without going over the line. Like clearing my throat when he made a bad shot.

I think he regretted not allowing me to shoot.
