74* at 9:00 and had a couple of fast moving showers pass through this morning that barely wet the ground. Mid to upper 80's today and probably humid again. Have a great weekend and stay safe.

Cooling down to the low 80s today. Should be a nice weekend in Southern California. Enjoy, everyone.

I may be off the forum for a time frame. So if you don't see me post or THANK a post - I am still breathing.

(I will post this here instead of on the BF forums for now.)

I got two bad and sad health related calls on Friday.

One old, close lady friend is now in Hospice care in my former state. She just turned 65 years old last May. Her husband went to school with my late husband. He is 71 years old - my late husband and he were born in the same year. They lived across the farm fields from us on another township road. It was a very rural area with a tiny village about 2.5 miles away from my old house. We had some good times together back there. I met her husband when my late husband moved back to his home Great Lakes state as a young lady after my late husband's USN Nam and around the world service time. I met her down the road since he was divorced.

My older sister's MRI and some other health related issues are not good at all. She lives down in Florida. She may come up here but I am not positive.

Take care, stay cool and safe. Good shooting to all of you!

Hugs and blessings.

Cate

Cate....completely understand how you're caring for your sister and close friend --- such " bad and sad health-related calls" are never welcome. Glad you will "be away" and available if they need you. You are lifted in prayer as you walk alongside them. Take good care.

Good morning. 72 and clear at 8am. Another gorgeous day. On my way to Northern California for a few days. Pretty sure it's just as hot and dry there.

Morning all from Jonesboro, GA. We actually received some rain yesterday. No, it was not enough, but I am thankful for what we received. It is 73 degrees this morning. Another hazy, hot and humid day with hopefully some rain later this afternoon. Take care and be safe.

It's sprinkling this morning. It might rain most of the day. Hopefully it won't be too humid.

Cate, you, your friend and your family will be in my thoughts. Safe travels.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Beautiful day here. Will spend it horseback with my Henry in the scabbard. Tea first, then time to saddle up. Have a great day all.

Good morning, I had one cup of this in the Keurig coffee maker and then went out to cut grass. Fortunately I don't have the property that I once had so I can cut it with a selfpropelled Toro. It only takes me about 25 minutes. But, I was only about one pound overweight and I am sure that I lost that this morning. You guys down south are welcome to your heat and humidity, it has been a "killer" around here lately. Just an unusually hot and humid summer and I will be glad when Fall gets here. We have had substancial rain lately and I have been watering, so the lawn looks pretty nice, along with the fertilizer that was put on it. Now for a 20oz bottle of Gatorade! Image
