Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
A nice autumn day here, 66 now and 79 for a high, mostly sunny. Therapy today and I did get some good news, the therapist says no more cane, so next week I can go to range

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
looks like it might rain in your part of the country today ..

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Clear and 48 this morning, 82 for a high, no rain in sight for a week. We could use a shot of rain, an unseasonably high of 90 predictions for area. Everyone have a great day!

52 here in the inland Pacific Northwest. Had a bit of rain overnight but not the soaker I was hoping for. I have lots of chainsaw and mower work to do in my woods but it’s way too dry to run internal combustion motors out there. Might get some more rain tomorrow......hopefully
Sir Henry, maybe you could send some of that forecast over here to the east side?

62 on the way to 74 later today .... spotty rain showers moving through, amount of rain increasing through tomorrow .... home smoked sausage, eggs, sliced tomato and Folgers have kick started the day .... highlights of today should be a brief visit with our oldest grandson and picking up our newest grandson at daycare ....

I’m on my third cup of coffee and it’s raining.
Load on Sunday and shoot all month. I can’t believe how many bb’s this holds. Empty it’s a feather weight and loaded it’s like a tank.

Awoke to 73° and drizzle. Weather gal said it was supposed to be clear today but it's overcast with some light drizzle to moderate sprinkle. Maybe this afternoon it will clear up.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Fall is here in the mountains. I noticed the grass is growing slow, and a few brown spots. Leaves have been falling for over a month. Some trees are starting to turn color. Cool mornings, and afternoons. I do like the fall and spring time up here. I won't see another Winter here though. Yep, we made an offer on a place near Greenville TN, and it won't be as cold in the winter, but hotter in the summer. I will miss the mountain life, but truth be told, I just can't appreciate the steepness of it. It's hard on these old knees. New place is flat. 3 acres of grass to mow, but it's on level ground. I'm going to need a faster mower. Enjoy this weather Grunt.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Another nice day. Sixties heading for the eighties today.
I am searching my woods for black walnuts and hickory nuts. The walnuts I can find but the hickory nuts are prized by the squirrels, so mostly I,m finding shucks.
I think the little thieves are taking them while still in the trees. Hard to compete.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Plenty of black walnuts in my backyard as my neighbor has a huge tree that drops them in my yard. Wish I had a hickory tree since I could trim a limb off now and then for chipping up for my smoker!cooperhawk wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 10:03 amAnother nice day. Sixties heading for the eighties today.

Rain all day today but got some work done on my never ending lean to shed project down at the range yesterday.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
47 this morning with forecasted temps to drop into the upper 30’s in a few days......in the words of the Stark family from Game of Thrones.....
Winter’s Coming......
Wednesday night’s rain allowed me to finally do some mowing in a treed area next to my house that I have parked out. While mowing under the Ponderosa pines I was getting rained on by the falling needles. I have been watching them turn brown and the 30 mph winds yesterday started the annual fall migration of needles from the trees to the ground.
It’s only getting started, happy I don’t have any deciduous trees.
