Loaded up some .45 Colt this morning. Trying a wee bit different load: 25@ 7.7gr Unique/250gr rnfp. 25@ 7.7gr Unique/200gr rnfp. These will be for the revolver. Tomorrow, more .45 acp loads with BE-86. Starting to like this powder.

I've completely disassembled our portable loading station and stored it ....no plans to do any more loading for several months .... I do have a stock of components I'd need for the loads we use so we can crank it up if/when needed

Cleaned 2 guns and loaded 100 rounds of 357 with 125gr bullets for the pistola. Also made some sights a little more visable with some sight paint.

Got the additional buckets I needed for the range house, and all the sorted brass is now properly stored. I hope to do some shooting this week if the weather improves. I need to put some rounds thru the edc if nothing else.

by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Weighed up some H4895 for a 100 nickle plated Match cases for my Sako 222 Remington. Using Sierra 55 gr. bullets. The heavier 55 gr. does not damage my fall turkey if given the opportunity to get one. 50 gr. are more destructive than the heavier 55 gr bullet so I don't use them in the fall season.
Then I charged up 100 223 Remington brass cases. I use brass cases in the 223 and nickle in the 222 to easily keep them from getting mixed together and avoid the 222 ending up going in the 223. Charged them up with the H4895 and seated 53gr. Hornady Hollow points in them. Have a lot more to trim, debur and prime. Nothing changed in my room since the rebuild in 2017 after it got destroyed. Must have got it pretty close to being right first time around and haven't had to change hardly any thing to a new spot.

Got 30 done, then stopped for a snack, time to get back to it.

Bandit, now that is a fine looking bench.Well organized and functional. Outstanding !
I like your use of nickel and brass casings. I also do the same for my 45 colt and .357. Brass is for the Henry, Nickle for the wheel guns.
I would say great minds think alike, but that would leave me out !

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Oh whee,am I glad I bought my loading components a while back. Just got back from my LGS and he is empty of all primers and pretty much on all bullets. Lots of powder tho. Very little ammo, some rifle, no handgun. Rick said probably at least a month before he can get anything from Missouri bullets and no idea regarding primers. Man! Being prepared early paid off.
