Had to make a grocery run as we got real low on the Folgers.........
Site seems to be OK. Load issue should be resolved now.
Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning all, currently sitting in Deadwood South Dakota and it’s 43 and clear. I have been out of WiFi service for the last five days so it’s nice to take a look at the Henry site again. We were in the Mt. Rushmore area prior and man what an incredible area. The monument of course but the incredible drives in Custer State Park won the area. Today we’re going into the Historic Deadwood area which after a scouting trip yesterday afternoon looks like the most awesome (not) collection of casino’s ever!
We planned two days for Deadwood but may change the second day to touring what is called Spearfish Canyon. Looks like there are some impressive falls there although maybe not so impressive this time of the year. Love the Badlands, coming from a mostly heavy forested area I’m loving this mixture of pines, aspen, grassland and granite. Beautiful!
Had to make a grocery run as we got real low on the Folgers.........
But we are re-supplied now.

69 on its way to 74 later today with what's left of Hurricane Sally sauntering through our area .... flash flooding warnings abound .... from following the radar, the heaviest rain should pass just west of us .... local sausage, eggs and Folgers have started the day

I agree about Deadwood. I even saw slots in bathrooms. Haven't been there in a long time now but I would take a day and visit Wall Drug. It's a tourist trap, but one of the most interesting I've ever seen. 82° right now but only headed to a high of about 86° today due to overcast skies and predicted showers. Just had a bowl of cereal, English muffin, and coffee this morning. I'm in the workroom procrastinating about work!

Sally going to hang around all day and thru the night for about 3-4 inches of rain so they say. Got the Buster walk in this morning during a break in the rain. Needed a relaxing day anyway!

Still in Deadwood SD and it’s 42 and clear. (Slightly smokey) had a nice day yesterday in Deadwood watching a couple of shoot-out re-enactments and a really great presentation of firearms manufactured prior to 1900. Planning a trip to Spearfish Canyon today.
Enjoying my Folgers but it’s too early for breakfast. (Gotta prime the pump with caffeine you know)

Rain today. First rain since I finished the roof. Good news is it doesn’t leak.

The panorama is squeezed on the forum display page, but I opened the image in a new tab to see the full wide screen perspective. It's been a long time coming and worth the wait. Awesome space!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
a really nice 58 degree morning under a beautiful Carolina Blue sky in central NC .... supposed to get up to 68 later today .... that's a really nice, marked difference .... canning mountain dill pickles and squash relish will take up much of the day .... a little slow getting started this morning but the Folgers is flowing
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Back in Garyowen MT, not sure of the temp since this is just a one night stop and I didn’t set up the thermostat but it’s warm. Looks like some clouds came in overnight and held the temps in. Back on the road today heading to the Lewis and Clark Caverns about 5 hours down the road. Have reservations in the morning to tour the part of the caverns that are open (Covid again) and then it’s off to home. Been a great trip but we’re happy to be heading home.
Didn’t sleep well last night so the Folgers is particularly fine this morning.

With Covid19 I couldn’t go anywhere so I finished a lot of projects. I’m having a birthday party tomorrow for a neighbor. Some have seen my place and some haven’t.
