Hurricane Sally
remarkable reports from Pensacola where Hurricane Sally is dumping rainfall approaching 30 inches, a 5' storm surge and 105 mph winds .... sure hate it for the folks down there where the slow movement of the storm will be hammering them for hours to come

Re: Hurricane Sally
Too bad that some of the extra water couldn't be transported to the west. Seems to be the norm these days though, either too much or not enougn.

Re: Hurricane Sally
most of Hurricane Sally is still southwest of us .... steady light rain has been falling for a couple of hours, no loss of satellite reception so far .... very light wind in the tree tops ... it still appears that the heaviest rain will most likely pass west of us

Re: Hurricane Sally
as this is being typed, we are in a clear gap between bands of rain .... looking at the radar, the last of Sally should exit our area about midnight .... we've had a full day of steady light rain .... no lightening/thunder, very light wind .... looking out right now the wind is clearly blowing harder in the high tops .... bottom line, we've been lucky so far
