I'm pretty sure the Kyocera DuraXV Extreme will be my next phone ===> https://www.verizon.com/basic-phones/dura-xv-extreme/ .... sometime after Thanksgiving I'll probably get serious about looking
For the price that looks like a pretty good choice JE. Not quite an IPhone, but still a smart phone. Good reviews as well. Practical.

My iPhone works so great I don’t use a computer or laptop anymore for going on the web. The biggest problem with my smartphone is it has a dumb owner.

Like a lot of modern conveniences, it can be your friend, or a pain
in the butt. I have a Verizon phone, month to month, no contract. Thanks to Bluetooth, it pairs with my truck radio.Calls go thru the radio, hands free. I can check the radar to check on an approaching storm.
Also can block annoying calls, love that.
I wear a shirt with pockets, phone goes there.
I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.
