Carol let me use her kitchen yesterday, (begrudgingly), and I made my vegetable beef soup like my Mother used to make.
I start with several beef bones with meat still attached and boil them with salt onions and garlic till the meat is tender enough to separate and cube.
Making sure I have the marrow, I remove the bones.
Then I add Tomato sauce, tomato paste, cut up fresh tomatoes, carrots, celery, cabbage, red and green peppers diced potatoes , mushrooms, pepper corns,
Garlic powder, Onion Powder to taste along with salt and pepper. Then let it simmer a couple hours.

Had two bowls last night with a cold beer followed by an evening of burping and Martinis. :D

Life is good.

It was good. BBQd pork with beans and cole slaw. Had some wine with dinner.
Don't think my beautiful sophisticated step daughter likes me very much. I'm a red necked knuckle dragger in her eyes.
Oh well, I won't die because of it. Got her through college and saved her life once. I'll survive.
My six foot slightly autistic Grand son, (who I love dearly), swam for almost an hour in the cold rain. (Heated pool), while I sang, "Swimming in the rain", to him.
Big gentle guy who grins all the time. He's sixteen now. I tell him to quit growing, but he ignores me. :D
Two Martinis and off to bed.

Neither my wife nor I felt like cooking tonight so we went to the local Buffalo Wild Wings. Had some fries, wings and a well chilled Blue Moon. :D

Smokey as heck outside. Oh well, put some baseball on. Enjoy the evening folks. Ta-ta.
