Life at Nowhere

Post by Sir Henry » Sat Aug 29, 2020 11:16 am

The outdoor kitchen is almost reroofed so maybe a range Report will come soon. Here are some pictures of my doings for the last few weeks.

A very unique outdoor area you have! Have read good things about the Blackstone grill and those pancakes are really tasty looking!
Bet a nice thick Ribeye steak would be great cooking on that grill too!

Very cool backyard. It looks great! I really like the shadow portrait. That jet looks close enough to rattle some windows for several miles around. My personal preference is for real maple syrup on pancakes, but it does look like you've cooked up a tasty breakfast. Thanks for sharing the progress.

The jet is on landing approach and is quite quiet for being so close.

Those are some nice signs. I watch a lot of "American Pickers" and am always amazed by what they will pay for some of them. If rare even a very rough sign can be pretty valuable.

Pancakes look good too.

That jet has RR on it. He's on his way to check out your new digs! You have a heck of a set up. Very nice.

Gene, that new grill looks very nice. You seem to have done a wonderful job of seasoning it. It looks fantastic!

Your back yard is very eclectic. A very cool place to hang out for sure.

I thought I saw Badger looking out the window. The plane is unmarked and is returning from one of its first three flights. Paine Field is where Boeing test flight brand new planes.

It took six cycles of smoking the oil off and then turning the heat off before it burns. It’s been decades since I’ve seasoned a griddle and this is by far the biggest ever.

Moving the coffee pot outside was a great idea. I now spend an hour in the house in the morning and an hour at night. The rest of the time is spent outdoors. The coffee setup is resting on a small office refrigerator.

I have that same coffee maker. Just a few days ago the frother started randomly beeping and the lights would flash. I looked online and apparently it's a fairly common problem with no fix. Called Keurig and even though it's a few months out of warranty they will replace it. I very rarely use the frother so they agreed to send me a K-Elite. Even throwing in a pack of their coffee and supposed to be here by Wed. At least it still brews coffee, just have to unplug it when done, the beeping is very annoying. Good luck with your's.

They have a new model now that pierces the k-pod in 5 spots instead of 1. Supposed to get all the grounds wet quicker so the coffee is better. Tried to get them to replace mine with one of those but they said no, it was too new.
