82° with 86% humidity this morning. Good news, for us anyway, we didn't even get a drop of rain from Laura last night. The storm landed far enough east of us that we weren't affected.

must admit that after 9 weeks in South Dakota, as is always the case, getting used to NC's heat and humidity is going to take a while .... today's high of 93 today with 94 predicted for tomorrow mandate we stay inside as much as possible .... every time I get out of a vehicle, my glasses fog up .. .. with the supply we packed for a trip having been used up a couple of weeks ago, its wonderful to be back to where we can buy Bass Farms Sausage ===> http://bassfarmsausage.com/ .... its a local brand and is the sausage by which I measure all others .... the eggs and Bass Farms Hot Sausage and Folgers were a perfect combo to start the day ...

76 on its way to 94 (105 real feel) .... this morning we are to take one of our daughters-in-law to Raleigh for eye surgery .... we won't be able to stay with her so I'm looking forward to spending a couple of hours at Bass Pro .. .. sausage, eggs and Folgers ..

65° on the mountain, overcast and sticky. Tstorms in the forecast as usual.
Working on my 2nd cup of coffee after breakfast. Might have to mow the front 40 again, but I'm in denial. Still sore from 3 days ago. I need a fast zero turn mower. My little JD 140 takes me almost 2 hours to cut that 1-1/2 acres. Someday I'll get one. Cheers

Right now 87° headed up to 98° today. We're under a heat advisory. Factoring humidity it' supposed to "feel like" 112° this afternoon. I thought about going out to the range but think I'll stay in under the air conditioning and get some work done. Got word yesterday my new workbench is arriving Tuesday!

79 very humid degrees on its way to 85 later today .... they are calling for a front to move through shortly after noon that will bring with it heavy thunderstorms that are capable of spawning tornadoes .... first on the agenda is hauling off our trash and driving back to the local Bass Pro to return a camp stove bought yesterday ... it has a defective part .. .. sausage, eggs, and Folgers ..

You scooted out of the Midwest too soon JE. 65 this morning with bright sunshine. High today of 75. Now comes the time of our perfect weather.

Got a fresh seafood truck coming today from Galveston and I'm probably going to see what they have. Probably no oysters yet though.

our departure date is forced on us by having to get back in order to have our truck safety inspected and renew its license plate before the end of this month .... if I had my way, we'd be out there for at least another month ..

Been in the 80's last week or so but too dry. Smoky at times from BC fires. Gotta check some cows tomorrow and might get a couple of pics to post.

65 this morning. Was great weather to sleep in a bit. Only going to hit mid 70s so I am going to can some more tomatoes while I can have the house opened up then finish my wiring job in the shop before taking a nap in the hammock.

Went for a 3 mile walk. It was a peaceful one. I walked down our road which is right next to the creek.
