AmericanReloading.com - Midwest Powders?

Post by BamaFaninMilton » Sat Jul 25, 2020 4:34 pm

Has anyone tried any of the powders being sold by AmericanReloading.com under the Midwest Powders name? The information on them is limited, but while conducting an online search I found a discussion on another forum about Midwest Powders and someone there had emailed American Reloading and the reply that they received said that "Midwest Powders is simply a distributor that gets overrun powder from large manufactures of ammunition".

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these powders and any advice offered will be great appreciated!
Be careful, it's dumb out there!

Nope, never heard of them. I would be suspicious of their statement. Ammo and gunpowder are so tight right now its hard to believe anyone has an over run. Also, not listed in any of my manuals.

I just checked out their website. I would be very leery about buying powder that states "Similar to" and a brand name. You have no idea what it is and how it was manufactured and what the quality control is.

You took the words right out of my keyboard, rng. Can't see anyone have over runs of anything in the industry.
I'd tread lightly on that one.
