I found 20 more FMJBT .223 bullets after I was putting my gear up, so since it was 86° outside I decided to load them up. Now I'm done for awhile.

I got the 180 gr Strikers today from Missouri Cast. It will probably be a while before I have a chance to test them against the pugnose but I will get it dome as soon as I can.

WEllll, I SCREWED UP ! ! !

So there I was today, pumping out .223 rounds on the progressive. I tell you it was running like a Swiss clock. Every pull on the handle spit out a shinny new round. Filled the hopper, dumped it, and kept on going. Brass feeder running like a champ. Finally I ran out of bullets and had to restock the Mr. bullet feeder.

As I was doing so, thought it would be a good time to top off the powder hopper. Hummmmm that's funny, all these rounds and I have barley used any powder?

So, being the experienced, intelligent and competent re-loader, I ran a case through. After the powder drop I pulled the case to weigh the drop. No Powder.

So on closer inspection, the linkage came loose and was not cycling the powder measure. The case was pushing the measure up, but since the linkage was not connected, it was not dropping any powder. The linkage is on the off side, so I could not see it.

Fixed and tightened everything and stocked the bullet feeder and I finished up the 1,000 rounds.

Guess what I am doing tomorrow? Pulling bullets on 100 rounds with no powder!

I'm pouring a Jameson now!

So, go ahead and have a good laugh, I deserve the jabs ! ! ! But a bad day at the bench is better than a good day working.

Hey, stuff happens. At least you found the problem and can fix it. Have that Jameson's and I'll have another beer or two. See, better already! I actually threatened to load some rounds today, but, took care of the front yard instead. Wife was home today, had to appear responsible.

After so many headaches with my Dillon 650, I got rid of it and went back to a turret press and a single stage. The time I made up in reloading wasn't worth the time it was down for fixing.

Pulled the bullets from the rounds I screwed up yesterday, (turned out to be 110 rounds), expanded the necks again and re reloaded them. All is good now.

I think the Jameson debrief last night helped.

Never have had any issues with my Dillons. Id buy one again. Sure I had some small problems but was able to correct it and go on. Dillon is there to if one needs help. I can crank off more 45 357 and 41 mag in an hour than I can load on a single stage

Just got done with the Dillion. Fired it up loaded up some Rifletom Strikers to test. 11.5 grains of 2400. Maybe I can get out and try them out soon. Think I loaded out about 60 rounds
