Re: NASCAR 2020
Well, I was going to do the email thing, but an automated reply is an insult to a fan, or anyone else. I'll skip it.

Re: NASCAR 2020
here is a copy of the automatic response I received :
"NASCAR Digital Media, LLC (“NDM”) acknowledges receipt of your e-mail and thanks you for contacting us. I looked at it as an instant confirmation that they received my email .... over time I've received similar confirmations from a wide range of businesses

Yeah, that's the one. I have received my share through the years. Hopefully they read them and more importantly I had always hoped that they listened to us. Although my E-mail days may not be over, I believe the last of the good 'ol days have hit the wall. Race over.

My guess is a low echelon computer person reads them and converts the general meaning into a spreadsheet for upper management.
Upper management then reads the spreadsheet and knows 273 people are for one lugs and 1,672 are against it. I just made these numbers up.

I gave up on NFL and now I give up on NASCAR after all these years. They all went down the wrong path as far as I am concerned.

Re: NASCAR 2020
I turned on the Infinity race today as it was too hot to do anything outside. At the opening they made the
announcement that contrary to rumors floating around they will not discontinue the Invocation and the
National Anthem. Today they had trouble with the PA System so the radio listeners didn't hear it, but
they assured everyone that they did have it and will have it tomorrow at Texas Motor Speedway.
Of course Kyle put on a drivers seminar today starting at the rear, and being sent there again for
speeding on pit row, and still won the race.
He likes to show the kids how it's done. This was win number 98 in this series and the speculation is that
when he breaks a hundred he'll stop doing the Infinity.

He won't stop at 100, he has to feed that ego somehow.
That said, Sun. race will be Texas, my favorite track. Won't get to watch, as it's on NBCSN, which I don't get on antenna. May have to crank up my simulator & do it my self. My sim is 2003. The track has been re-configured since then & removed some of the banking.
Get your setup right & you've got one heck of a ride. Get it wrong, you're going to see a lot of rear bumpers, LOL

Re: NASCAR 2020
Guys, I just found and watched "On any Sunday"! So much two wheel racing going on. I raced in So-Cal desert racing(District 37) from '73-79. 250 Suzuki. Best damn hobby I could imagine! Intermingaled with that, girls(wife now), beer, ohh, what a time.
Now, the desert and lever action. To be honest, if I could, I'd race again. Just too old. And smarter. I think! Miss it tho.

Re: NASCAR 2020
Know what you mean. I never sat in an actual race car, but this sim is the closest thing to it. Loads of fun, stress, but in a good way. You really get into it. You get to set the car up in the garage, like the real deal. Learn a lot about speed & handling.
It has the grill tape, air pressure, to name a couple.

Re: NASCAR 2020
I read this morning that Bubba Wallace had a melt down and attacked a younger smaller driver after the race last Sunday.
The driver was being treated for heat exhaustion so Bubba couldn't get to him, so he threw his drink in his face.
NASCAR says he will be talked to. Better be careful how they talk to him I'd bet. He's just looking for something to
sue over.

Unless he did it again, this happened last year and it was what made me lose a lot of respect for him.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 11:58 amI read this morning that Bubba Wallace had a melt down and attacked a younger smaller driver after the race last Sunday.

It was a pretty low class move. He even got the paramedics some too.

NASCAR news had an article, that said Bubba was booed at Bristol, and cheered when he wrecked.

Still wondering what happened to Kyle Busch in the Xfinity race. First heard it on TV, but they didn't say why. I refuse to even click onto anything that is official Nascar as I totally dis-connected from them.

Busch failed post race inspection & was disqualified. Took the win from him. Heard it on Sirius XM.

Re: NASCAR 2020
Seems like Nascar is picking on Kyle, unless this is a new precedent by them.
Will it happen in Cup? To someone real popular like Chase Elliott?
Would love to see it happen and then see what happens afterwards.
I can just imagine what would have happened if they took a win from Dale, Jr a few years back, say at a place like Daytona or Talladega to boot.
Best I can remember, when it did happen to someone, they might have lost points, crew chief suspended, etc.
But like I said, is this the new precedent?
