Sad news, I always liked him and his music. He was a cowboy at heart, loved the ranching way of life and always visited some big outfits out west when he had a chance.

Some musicians perform their music, Charlie Daniels delivered his regardless the size of the venue. We've lost a real Patriot.

A real shame as he was a big 2nd A. supporter. I posted about his loss on the Marlin site earlier .

The first song that I recall hearing from Charlie was Long Haired Country Boy. It became sort of an anthem for us young guys who had to keep our hair within military regulations. Some of us went into that first boot camp barber shop as long haired country boys. Came out humbled recruits.
Charlie touched so many people with his gift of song. He has earned his place to kick off his boots and make himself at home.

I 100% agree, Al.

And I'm madder'n hell and I ain't gonna take it no more."
