today I turned out my first hundred bullets on our portable press .... they are loaded specifically for our Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag with 7.7 grains of Unique fired by CCI Large Pistol Magnum Primers, pushing a 240 grain Nolser JSP .... by design they have a very mild recoil which is much appreciated by my arthritic right hand

in response to a PM, the primers are colored red to denote they are Redhawk loads .... the two marked with an X are to be discarded after they are fired

Dang that pesky work thing.BigAl52 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 22, 2020 9:38 pmI got my MC 200grain 45 colt bullets today also. Just came up from cleaning the 1860 pistola and loading 50 more test loads this time with 5.8 gr of Red Dot. I used both the Matts 210 and the new MC 200. Will see how they shoot the next time I get out. Maybe tomorrow. Oh wait I gotta go to work.

Tumbled 200 or so .223 cases. Sized and primed 200 rounds. Swaged the primer pockets of 300 5.56mm cases. That's the hardest thing in the reloading business IMHO. I still have all of those to prime. I've been putting this off for a couple of months. No more military cartridges for me even if they are a little cheaper. You pay for it on the other end by having to swage out the primer pocket staking. I still have some brass in the tumbler, and im pretty sure im going to prime those 5.56mm today. If my, back and hands can do it. This is this morning when I just got started. Cheers!
Oh yeah, I was trimming some cases also.
