Left Sugar Land yesterday about 3 and spent the night at Sherman. Got to B'ville about 11 and drove to the hospice with my cousin's wife and Patti ( mom's deceased husband's stepdaughter). Mom is hanging in there.

Mom's finally transcended to whatever comes next a little before 6 this evening. She was a religious woman so I hope she's comfortable in her next life.

Sorry for your loss, Jake. A deep faith often helps people to go gently into that good night. I hope it was so for your mom.

Jake, please know how sorry we are for your loss.
I'm sure deep faith is overseeing her transition, especially knowing what a loving son she has. Peace be with you.

Sorry for the loss Jake. I was devastated when I lost mine but she was only 67. I still think of her all the time. I hope you are ok. Tough losing family. Thoughts and prayers sent.

Jake;
My deepest condolences to you and your family. My heart goes out to you. I lost my mom several years back. She was only 70. Doc thought she had pancreatic cancer. She refused to do any tests or life saving measures. Dad and I put her with hospice and she lasted 3 months. I was really able to talk to her and enjoyed her stories of the past that I didn't know. What a blessing.
May your heart be blessed during this time of grieving and sorrow.

Our family is very sorry for your loss, my GMa would always recite the Irish blessing at times like this.
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And rains fall softly upon your fields
And until me meet again may god keep you in the palm of his hands.

Sorry for your great loss. I focus on the good memories of my mother rather than the end times. Peace be with you.

We'll, I'm heading back to the Land of Sugar today. I'm finishing up some bank business when they open and then headed down the road in the Goldwing. The home is up for sale so I'll have to come back up to sell her furniture and dispose of junk. I just need to get home for a bit.
