TAMPA, Fla. ( WFLA ) -- Elmer Fudd will no longer carry a rifle in HBO Max's collection of shorts called "Looney Tunes" cartoons.
According to The New York Times, the first short, titled "Dynamite Dance," has the feel of old school Looney Tunes.
In the video, Bugs Bunny goes after Elmer with dynamite.
However, Fudd will no longer carry his token rifle, and character Yosemite Sam will no longer carry pistols.
"We're not doing guns," series executive producer Peter Browngardt told the New York Times .
News of the change to the character went viral on social media Sunday.
Browngardt told the New York Times that "cartoony violence," such as the explosive TNT, will be done, as it "was kind of grandfathered in" to Looney Tunes.

Yeah, Elmer is getting a scythe.
I guess beheading wabbits is less traumatic to the kids than a bullet.

Yosemite Sam won't have his revolvers, either. Better to just drop the characters and go on with their rectangular sponges and other crap cartoons. Leave the past alone. I saw a clip of Elmer Fudd chasing Bugs with his sickle. It was creepy and twisted. After all, gun or no he never actually killed anyone. He was a critique of real hunters. And harmless.

Saw that earlier somewhere. Just when you think people can't get anymore ignorant, somebody finds a way. Last time I looked, it's still on YouTube ( which I have saved ). Probably like sheep, they'll change up too.

The most common types of laws forbade intermarriage and ordered business owners and public institutions to keep their black and white clientele separated. Here is a sampling of laws from various states.

“The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.”

I think I went to grade school with Socrates
I can kind of relate my boys classmates ridiculed them for joining the armed services instead of going to college. My sons served and then went to college and did not have to take student loans out and be in debt for 10-20 years.

I don't think Winchester '73 with all the guns digitally removed will be quite the same....not to mention John Wayne just pointing at people and yelling "cut the malarkey" dubbed in...

I expect that guns and ammo are flying off the shelves....once again! And the thugs are grinning ear to ear.
OK then: hunker down and exorcise our 2A rights. There is no better time than now to own guns. Locked and loaded!
Sorry guys; that is as close as I will get to political on this issue...no worries.☺

Records are being set every month so far this year compared to the same time last year. Seems that the manufacturers and distributors are keeping up with demand tho, at least in my area.markiver54 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 08, 2020 10:02 pmI expect that guns and ammo are flying off the shelves....once again! "Approximately 1,726,053 guns were sold in May – a record-breaking 80.2 percent increase from last year, according to data released late Monday by Small Arms Analytics & Forecasting, which examines the raw data obtained from the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS.
Of the firearms sold, 1,052,723 were handguns and 535,014 were long-guns, the SAAF estimated."
