Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It's 59° on the mountain and going to 80°. Feels like summer. 1st cup of coffee is down, and it's my turn to cook. I'm recuperating from mowing my 1.5 acres. Yes I use a riding mower, but it still definitely hurts my slipped and bulging disks in my back. Oh well life goes on. Today I'm taking the off. Cheers

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
59 here this am. Headed to 91. Its thursday. One more day and another week gone towards the end of it all. Got an email last night as I crawled into bed. Credit card had been used in Calif at Pizza Hut for 105.00 worth a pizza. They declined the charge. Thats the forth time in about a year and a half this has happened. New card on the way.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Coffee and cookies as usual.
Had dental work done yesterday afternoon and they must have exposed a nerve because I can't bite down on anything without what feels like an electrical shock in my mouth. I have another appointment next week, so I guess I'm on soft foods for a week.
Carol is making custard for me to keep up my strength.
Still got carpentry work to finish and the grass really needs to be mowed.
Well, I'm not bored. Got plenty to do.

The countdown to retirement can feel as long as that last month of school for a ten year old. After that, the speed of time increases about tenfold. Too bad about the CC. Sounds like you've got a card skimmer somewhere nearby, possibly a waiter in a restaurant. They walk away with your card and have plenty of opportunity to copy it.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Warm morning in B'ville. 75 this morning at 7. Folgers and Total with a banana for breakfast. Mom seems to have had a better night. I've noticed she talks a lot in her sleep now. I spoke about it this morning and said she was aware of it. Here's hoping for a good day.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
69° and supposed to get warm maybe more rain. The greenest wettest year i can remember. I like green. Lots of yard mowing ,thats true, but great for keeping the pastures growing . Been seeing some bucks with new horns sticking up. The countryside is beautiful with ample moisture this year. Despite all the milling unrest in the cities, despite all the pandemic freakouts, ....there are places in the world where peace and quiet endure... so far. Im happy to be there. And the coffee is first rate this morning. The best to everyone wherever they be.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It's a humid and overcast morning in CT and should remain mostly cloudy all day long with occasional showers followed by T-Storms in the evening and overnight. Air temps should reach into the upper seventies by the afternoon. Enjoy your day.

62° this morning on the mountain. Drinking some dark roast coffee in the big Gadsen Flag mug. Waiting on breakfast. I'm going to take a trip down to my LGS to look around and see what's kickin. Might buy some more 9mm if they have any. I haven't been to the LGS since just before the covid started. Cheers!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
We spend alot of time CT wishin our life away. While working Fridays always seem to be welcome. Even more so these past few years. How about when you were young wishing for that day you could drive and then wishing for that magic age of 21. Then on to 25 for me anyway so my car insurance rates would drop. I know the time when that day finally comes will flash in the pan by. Right now Im just hoping to get there as one never knows. 65 here this am and its the end of another week. Its Friday again. Going to be hot today peaking at 95. Im out the door on the wing. Hey Evan I hear that Triumph talking way over here.CT_Shooter wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 9:35 amThe countdown to retirement can feel as long as that last month of school for a ten year old. Mowed the part of the yard that didn't have standing water, then
changed oil & filter in the truck, got a load of clothes in the washer, . I'm a bit hot & tired. Humidity is high.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Clear and 77 today. Watering the garden before the sun is up. Got the trim mower running yesterday so that's done but have to trim the suckers off the maples and mix up some weed killer for the poison ivy this morning.
Been waiting for my seed potatoes to be delivered since the 18th of May. Coming by USPS and tried tracking them but just show them shipping. No reply from seller and Amazon tells me I have to wait until tomorrow to get a refund. Suddenly, yesterday tracking shows them moving through MN. I don't know if this is a replacement order or someone found them and moved them on but I suspect they will appear today and hope they have not been rotting in this heat for 3 weeks.
Some businesses have been allowed to open in Michigan this week and restaurants and bars are opening Monday so I am wondering if the range is open yet. The Governor has things so confused here I will wait to hear the trap shooting before I attempt to visit.
Everyone have a fine weekend.
