Well, since the tree is a good ole Georgia Pine, I cut it up, going to let it dry for 3 months to two years (lol), then I will probably burn it in the fire pit with the grand kids. Dry Pine is a good fire pit wood, because it burns bright and burns quickly. Hard to keep the grand kids attention unless the fire is bright.

I try to burn pine in our camp fire pit for the same reason. Quick, bright then the less than stalwart head for the bug free screen porch. Those heartier folk then join me as I put a few pieces of split hardwood on and get into some stories and adult beverages.

This morning up early. Coffee, house cleaning then off to work.

Enjoy your day.

Morning all from Jonesboro, GA. Already very warm this morning, 75 degrees. Yeah, another hot one, but it is July, so it is supposed to be hot! A 40% chance of a scattered shower. Hope we are in the 40% that gets the shower. Take care and be safe.

Morning. Thunderstorms hanging around next few days. We've had rain this week a few times. Tea time. Have a good day all.

Glad for the heavy thunderstorm last night but the humidity is back with a vengeance today. The dew point is to get to around 74% today but some relief is on the way for Saturday, or so they predict. I have been watering the lawn but the rain last night and what they predict for tonight will help. We got about three quarters of an inch of rain here last night. As I have said before, heat and humidity is not one of my favorite things and I am glad that I don't live any further to the South.

Thankfully I live in the land of no humid air. It gets hot sometimes but never humid.

No reason to brag RR, no reason at all. lol Be thankful for the low humidity. This year has been unseasonably dry, normally the humidity is close to the temperature around here. Have a good one.

74* at 4:45 AM and looks to be a hot humid day with scattered showers. The grass is not growing as fast now so I don't have to mow as often. Went to work yesterday to get caught up with the motorcycle clean ups and wipe down the side by sides that were really dusty and finger printed from last week end. Have to decide what to get in to today.

Good morning, having a cup of dark roast in one of my John Deere mugs and getting ready for a four hour trip on Interstate 81. Two hours up to Allentown and two hours back. As I have gotten older I hate the interstate. Too many trucks, too much traffic, construction etc. And I know they have to maintain the road. Accidents frequently and especially in the construction zones when people don't slow down like the signs say and plow into stopped traffic. And yes, I know we need the trucks to move the freight. But they don't stop on a dime and just the other day, just south of me, and at other times, one couldn't stop when traffic had slowed and smashed into cars and killed a young girl. Accidents can occur anywhere but if I never had to drive the interstate again it wouldn't make me mad.

Temp is only 72 but the relative humidity is 94%. Going to be another "sticky" day in southern Indiana.

Been up since 5:30 but haven't put the coffee on yet. Wife has been sick so I don't want to wake her.

Still, this will be a good day. Our daughter is in town for the weekend. She lives in Jacksonville, FL and works for CSX. She was in Gary, IN for work and then rode a train down to Danville, IL and caught a ride here. Got in at 10:00 last night and will be staying until Sunday.

Morning all from Jonesboro, Ga. Sorry to hear about your wife's sickness White Squirrel. I hope she gets better soon. It is a balmy, sticky 74 degrees this morning. No rain yesterday, but fingers are crossed for today. Not much on the agenda for today, maybe I can get to the range today....doubtful, but maybe!!! Take care and be safe.

I hope she has a speedy recovery and can enjoy the visit with your daughter. We're going to have lunch with my wife's cousin today, which will be very hot and humid.

Have a good Friday, everyone.

I have to move a big rock in the driveway today. I'm getting help with two neighbors and we will use prybars and chains to pull it with my truck. Film at eleven.

Early morning start, had to take my daughter to the airport at 4:00 am to catch her flight home. Visits are always too short when your child lives 800 miles away!

Only 70 degrees, but already humid. Going up to mid-90s this afternoon.

I will probably be indoors most of the day. My wife is getting worse, I think she may have pneumonia. Will try to get here into the clinic later to get her checked out. She has been resisting because we are supposed to leave on vacation Tuesday. She is a lot more important than wasting a couple of plane tickets if we have to cancel.

A very comfortable 60* at 6:05 AM. I wish it would stay in the 60's all day but it will get hot a humid. Having my big Henry mug of coffee and wondering what my wife will want to do today. All the good drag races in the area were yesterday so I know we are not going there this week end. She is satisfied to sit on the back porch and watch the deer in the fields and her birds come to the feeders some days so we may just stay home.

Good morning, having one cup of dark roast this morning. It is 64* out back at 6:50 this morning and I just put the sprinkler on the side yard for a couple of hours. I will probably watch the NASCAR race today but first I have to go over and tend to my son's black lab for a while since they are away for the day. Here he is pictured with a newspaper that had an article about hunting dogs. As you can tell, he didn't like it.

Morning all from Jonesboro, GA, A rather sticky 74 degrees at 7:30 this morning, with bright sunshine. Rained late yesterday, YIPEE!, and another chance of rain today. Church, visiting the grand kids, and making a run to the Mall is on the agenda for today. Take care and be safe.
