Our Morning Coffee and Weather

47° on the mountain and it hasn't rained for at least an hour lol. 1st cup of dark roast coffee down, dogs in my lap watching the news just like every morning. The cooks a bit slow this morning, but eventually it will be eggs sausage and toast, and of course more coffee. Probably going to be another indoor type day. Cheers!

Beautiful morning here on the North shore of Lake Ontario. 62 degrees and sunny...Ang and I sitting in the gazebo, having our morning coffee. The Hummingbirds are back, and boy are they hungry. I took one of the feeders down to rinse and re-fill, and one of the little birds stopped me before I even got back to the tree. There I am, standing beside the gazebo, with a hummingbird feeder in my hand, and a brave little bird investigating every hole in the feeder! I'm used to feeding the chickadees by hand, but this was a first for me. Made our morning...

62 on its way to 72 later today .... steady bands of thunderstorms on tap from now until sometime tomorrow .... local stations running banners with flood warnings .... in some areas wind is bringing down trees .... sausage, eggs, Folgers to begin a day that will be spent inside

Thanks for sharing that story, Roddy. Yup! Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are not afraid of people. I've had experiences like yours, too, and looked it up. A close encounter like yours is truly one of those things that you will never forget. Very cool.

You know it's going to be a hot day when the air conditioner cycles through the night. 80° at 8:00 a.m. Supposed to reach 91° this afternoon but I bet it gets to the mid 90's. Tied a record of 97° yesterday.

Middle 70’s for a high and right now it is 59. Our plum, apple and pear tree were full of blossoms, must have been windy last night because a lot of the blossoms are on the lawn, look like it snowed.

A bit of sun creeping in today which is a good thing. Yesterday we had 1.5 inches of rain which I know for you guys in Tennessee who had so much rain earlier this year thats just a sprinkle. I went out late yesterday afternoon to check the drainage ditch in front of my place and all was good. However my neighbor has an issue with the outlet on their culvert that I will help them out with later.

Later meaning after my several cups of Folgers Classic!

It was fifty degrees at sunrise at my house. Bright sunshine is bathing the LR in warm light this morning and will continue to shine through the day with high temps in the low seventies. Enjoy your day.

53° and pcldy on the mountain. Looks like a nice day ahead. 1st cup of dark roast coffee, dogs fed and in my lap. It's my turn to make breakfast. No big plans today. My gun range needs some repair after all the rain and storms, but I might be able squeeze off a few rounds. Cheers!

63 on its way to 81 later today .... some high, thin clouds but mostly a beautiful Carolina Blue Sky .... the rain that has been with us for the last couple of days has moved down east, radar shows it hanging over the Outer Banks .... no hurry for breakfast .... our project for today is to install 8 new taillights on our Sportchassis

42 and cloudy with scattered rain in the day’s forecast. BUT...... next week we are forecast to see temps maybe to 80......great news for anybody camping for the week following Memorial Day.

Morning lows keep getting higher in temp. It was 76° this morning about 6 a.m. or so walking the dogs. Currently 83° at 9:30 a.m. and headed towards 90°. I thought yesterday was going to be a scorcher after Wednesday's 97° but it only got up to 89°. The range opens at 11 a.m. so I hope the temps don't get too nasty. Decided to only shoot pistol rounds today.

Didn't check in this morning because I had a Drs. appointment.
I am a bionic man already but they're taking it a step further. I already have artificial lenses in my eyes,
hearing aids, and a synthetic aorta. Now they're on to the next step.

My teeth have worn out and they aren't particularly good for chewing, so I am getting set up for implants and plates. I don't have
a tooth ache, just have gaps that have worn in and keep getting food stuck between them. It's time I guess.

To my surprise Medicare's Dental Insurance is covering the lion's share of the cost. I did not expect that.
I've had the impressions taken and met with the surgeon and so far all is going well. They tell me the
whole thing will take about an hour and I will go home with the teeth in my mouth.

Tough getting old.

I know, beets the alternative.

The backyard temperature was 65° this morning, but it will not warm up more than a few degrees as the day goes on. CT is overcast now and we're expecting rain and possible T-Storms all day. Enjoy your Saturday.
