Re: NASCAR 2020
Rainy weather led to the postponement of Tuesday night’s race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Darlington Raceway.
The Toyota 200 was scheduled for a 6 p.m. ET start, a time moved up Monday by two hours because of the threat of inclement weather. Persistent rain forced the 147-lap event to move to Thursday at noon ET (FS1, MRN, SiriusXM).

Good old time racing. Engine size on the hood, racing on the "paper clip". I still miss that old style racing. Guess I'm just old, LOL.Cowboy Gun Fan wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 7:32 pmInteresting Clip on the Virginia 500 at Martinsville in 1972:

I rarely ever buy a rifle, but when I do, it's a Henry.

Re: NASCAR 2020
I agree. Check out some of the old great names from back then as well. Some of the notables - Petty, Allison, Pearson, Issac, Yarbrough, Parsons, Dave Marcis, Wendell Scott, Jimmy Hensley, Richard Childress and Earl Brooks to name a few. Earl Brooks was a good friend of a good friend of mine.Grunt67 wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 11:45 pmGood old time racing. Engine size on the hood, racing on the "paper clip". Thanks for the heads up JEBar, I tried to watch it but Ma-nature had other ideas. I’ll give it another try tomorrow.JEBar wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 11:09 amNASCAR officials have moved up the start time for Tuesday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway to 6 p.m. ET because of the potential for inclement weather.
Originally slated for 8 p.m. ET, the Toyota 200 (FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) is scheduled to be the first Xfinity Series race since March after a two-month pause in action due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Re: NASCAR 2020
I had strong doubts that it was going to run. We've been getting hit with rain in the whole region.
They'll be lucky to get it in Thursday, but there's always hope.

I still think they should go back to running factory sheet metal. The 'ol pull it off the showroom floor and go racing type, with appropriate safety measures installed of course.

Social Media is trashing Kyle Bush. If it had been Dale Sr. that did it they would be cheering.
Double Standard.

Re: NASCAR 2020
there is no question that Kyle's driving ability is exceptional .... seeing how far he moved up the track and hit the 9 car exactly where it would spinout while not seriously damaging his car, its hard to believe that he simply misjudged the opening .... he wasn't off by a matter of a few inches, rather by a few feet .... with his history of wrecking drivers who pass him, its no wonder fans have trouble believing him

Kyle has admitted the mistake and has apologized for it. Problem is, as indicated, many don't like him and his driving abilities are "too good". Many don't believe it was a mistake, but even Harvick, who had a front seat view, stood up for Kyle.

Re: NASCAR 2020
But that's what happens when you're good. You lose your chance at innocence. He is also smart. I don't believe he would do anything that stupid on purpose. It was said that he was looking in his mirror at the time, but... it will pass in time, lol.JEBar wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 11:26 amthere is no question that Kyle's driving ability is exceptional .... seeing how far he moved up the track and hit the 9 car exactly where it would spinout while not seriously damaging his car, its hard to believe that he simply misjudged the opening .... he wasn't off by a matter of a few inches, rather by a few feet .... with his history of wrecking drivers who pass him, its no wonder fans have trouble believing him
Although I have a feeling that Chase has revenge on his mind.

NASCAR was built on this type of competition .... I suspect the ratings for the coming weekend race at Charlotte will be higher because it .... I was there when Fireball died in a wreck right in front of our seats .... hope to such a thing never happens again .... I certainly hope Chase does but doubt that he will

A friend of mine was at the same race. That was a horrible time for Nascar.
