Re: NASCAR 2020
Yeah, these racers are on edge, but, man, do they want to race! This is awesome! And We'd, they're going to do it again! What a day. Heck, even the wife is watching, sort of.

Re: NASCAR 2020
Chase is coming on strong with 50 to go .... must admit, I wouldn't have predicted it
Re: NASCAR 2020
Me either, he's in 4th now, with 27 to go. Harvick leading.
Going to be fun.

That was not a brilliant move, someone goofed.
Especially at Darlington.
I think Blu-Emu got their money's worth though. What a way to get attention, lol.

True, you gotta know that wouldn't survive on that wall. They definitely got their moneys worth, just not what they expected,Cowboy Gun Fan wrote: ↑Sun May 17, 2020 9:03 pmThat was not a brilliant move, someone goofed.

or did they, LOL.
I was going to cut some grass after the race, but rained just enough to get the grass wet. Oh, well, another time.

Re: NASCAR 2020
That's exactly what I did. I was able to get it finished just before dark. Didn't rain here ...yet.
They are forecasting up to 4 Inches this week, maybe more.
The rain may be a problem for Wednesday night's race.

Yep, could be. I won't get to see it anyway, it's on FS1 & I don't have cable. All I have is an antenna. Don't see why they
don't simulcast these things on Fox. Wouldn't cost anymore, plus get more exposure for sponsors. It's been done before.
Got lite rain here now, & I'm on the way to the VA this am. Have a good day, pardner.

Re: NASCAR 2020
Same here, only have an Antenna. I first thought all the races would be on, but I guess just the Sunday race at Charlotte now. I agree, it doesn't make any sense. The way I understand it, Darlington was a big hit and fans would be just as eager to see another. That has happened before and I would say "let's see what is so important instead having the race on" and it would be some stupid sitcom that I wouldn't watch anyway.Grunt67 wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 8:55 amI won't get to see it anyway, it's on FS1 & I don't have cable. But when it isn't on, I'll usually do the next best thing. I'll have Battle Cam, Live Updates and Lap by Lap all going on the computer while having MRN on the radio, lol. It's not a bad alternative.
Good Day and safe travels to VA.

Re: NASCAR 2020
Back in the day ( well, way back ), 1961 or '62, when I first got interested in NASCAR, I would get my car in the shade of a tree, wash & wax,
and listen on the radio. Had no TV at the time, don't remember when that happened, but I got by. Reckon I could do it again, LOL.
I have a NASCAR simulator on my PC, 2003 version ( last year they made the software ), it's the next best thing to the real thing, not as good as the ones they have today. Actually, years ago, the drivers used the same software I have.
Anyway, it's lots of fun. Started doing it back in 1994.

per Jayski ===> https://www.jayski.com/2020/05/18/darli ... ratings-2/
"Fox Sports earned a 3.7 rating and 6.3 million viewers for Sunday’s The Real Heroes 400 at Darlington Raceway.
The race was the most-watched non-Daytona race since March 2017."

Re: NASCAR 2020
Makes sense, been a long dry spell. As Cowboy Gun & I were discussing a bit ago, if they would simulcast these races on both cable & antenna, they would have even more viewers, yet they are always complaining about lack of viewers. Looks like someone in the big offices are a few bricks shy of a load. Just don't get that.JEBar wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 4:24 pmper Jayski ===> https://www.jayski.com/2020/05/18/darli ... ratings-2/

I looked this up a while back & antenna users were 17% of the US viewers. Accurate or not, I don't know, but that's quite a few folks.

Re: NASCAR 2020
Was live down under to watch but telecast start was 6am Monday morning so had to work.
Available on watch on demand so watched last night.
Have to wait until June 26 for our Aussie series to hit the tracks. Interested to see what happens in the next couple of i-racing events as they are running charlotte and Daytona.

Re: NASCAR 2020
I watched it, used to be a diehard NASCAR fan but kinda got away from it the last several years. Fun race with some great competition. I’m planning on watching the Xfinity race today (if it runs). As a Spokane boy I’m was always a big Chad Little fan as he too is a local. Now his son Jesse is running in the Xfinity series so it’s fun for me to have a Little to root for again.
As far as radio listening goes, I have XM and at my last place I had 20 acres of fields to mow. When mowing on a Sunday I would listen to the XM broadcast of the Cup race and while it’s not as good as watching it still was very entertaining.

I have XM on my truck, and listen to the NASCAR channel. to get
news, behind the scene stuff. Same for NFL.

Re: NASCAR 2020
NASCAR officials have moved up the start time for Tuesday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway to 6 p.m. ET because of the potential for inclement weather.
Originally slated for 8 p.m. ET, the Toyota 200 (FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) is scheduled to be the first Xfinity Series race since March after a two-month pause in action due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
