Pizza pan target time!
I took a pair of my .45 shooters and the Cimarron .357 out today to pick the one I could shoot the best for a special project coming up
soon. Also brought along the Henry BB .357 for some shots.
Target was a couple of those Dollar Store 12 inch pizza pans and the distance was 12 yds. standing for the revolvers and 15 for the Henry.
Ammo was my 230 gr. RNP Speer bullets loaded with 5.5 Red Dot for the 1858 Remmie and Taylors Running Iron .45 Colt.
The .357 Evil Roy revolver and the Henry were fed my .38 Special load of 158 gr. MB bullet loaded with 5.6 Power Pistol.
The first up was my 1858 Remmie and it shot a good 6 inches high and a bit to the right...me. I then aimed at the bottom of pan and got some hits closer to center. Next was my .45 Running Iron and it shot OK just a touch to the right.
The .357 Evil Roy seemed to shoot the best for me today wearing out the center area of the pizza pan and took out tin cans later without a miss!
That's the pick for the range project coming up.
Now the Henry was a blast with the .38 Specials as I was trying to shoot a circle within the 4 inch bullseye on the other pan! The Ghost ring insert works fantastic for me.
It will be backup shooter for the project. Good hits staying within as small an area as possible, as good as I can shoot, are a must for project.

I know you had fun Forty. How do you like that 1858. That Sheriffs model Howard has is cool I might need to get one.

Love the way it handles and fits my hand. Depending on the load it does shoot high but that's the way they are.
On day I will try using the cap and ball setup and see how it shoots!
