Hotdog, got back from my local candy store and now have my Missouri 180gr coated rnfp bullets! They have plenty of primers(all!) and powder. Didn't need any, but, man he is stocked!! What a place! Heading towards the bench shortly. Yea!

It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood in Arizona, 82 degrees, clear, 15% humidity, 5MPH breeze.

On Page 76 I showed the 45-70 Missouri Buffalo 405 grain bullets that I loaded, well today was range day to chrono the rounds.

To start, Jugs had to Pay !

I Chronoed both 45-70 and 45 Colt out of the Henry's.


The 45-70s were shot at 40 yards (I normally don't shoot less than 50, got lazy) The first two strings were Missouri Buffalo 405 grain and the second two strings were Hunters Cast 405 grains, 5 rounds per load Here are the results:

I then transitioned to the 45 Colt. Again, same distance. First string is Hunters Cast 250 grn with IMR4198 and the second is Hunters Cast H322. Here are the results:

Oh yeah, I also brought along my saddle pal to put some rounds down range also.

Looks like fun R N G I like the red jugs. Some of those loads look like keepers from the looks of the groups. How much Unique were u usin in the Colt

For the .45 Henry I was shooting 250 grain Hornady XTP JHP, 7.0 grains of Unique and the second group was 6.0 grains of Bullseye.

JEBar, thanks, we do try and make memories, I remember doing the same thing with my Grandfather. And I have to brag a little, JR looks bad ass sportin his wrangler in his gun belt (unloaded of course).

I am really pleased with those Missouri Bullets, and am looking forward to shooting the 180 grain .357 through the Chrono in the next few days.

Haven't done anything "on" the bench ( yet ), but did order 100 more Hornady .458 300gr JHP bullets, from Midsouth Shooters.
What with the Corona thing, don't have any idea when they'll get here, but Midsouth will give it their best shot. Always got good
speedy service from them.

Down to business, tested the 180 grain Missouri Bullet Strikers that were recommended from the Henry. 20 rounds at 40 yards with 26fps extreme spread, and 20 rounds at 80 yards with 35 fps extreme spread

I am really happy with the 180's out of of the Henry, and very pleased with the Extreme Spread. I am happy with 50 FPS E/S, 35 in my book is outstanding, and 26 does not happen too often. Just placed another order for the 180's.

Yep that 180 load is a good one! Finally getting around to cleaning the three revolvers I had out earlier this week.
They had a bit of pizza on them!
With rain moving in for Monday thru Thursday will reload more .38 and .357 ammo.

I as well as others have had good luck with those 180's. Ive been using the pugnose at about 11.5 grains of 2400
