I second the question. Does anyone want to share the Grainger part number for this spring?

found the following in an earlier post :

Looking at the same project on another site, I see the Grainger spring identified as: #54MY45. It's 31 inch/pounds. I haven't ordered one, yet, but may need to after I check out my newly arrived (and not yet picked up) 30-30. I understand they sell them in lots of 10, with shipping it'll be around $30.00. Hopefully, one of the guys who have actually done the modification will chime in and confirm this for us.

I have some extra springs I would send you one if you PM me your address. I think ESquared also has some not sure. Maybe he will chime in. No sense buying a bag of 10 if you need one. Not sure which SS model you have early or later as they can also be a little finicky with the lighter spring. I think Evan ended up using a 38 lb spring in his.

This is the package and part number from Grainger. I tried this mod on 2 SS’s. Neither my .223 or .308 would discharge consistently. I have all 10 springs if anyone wants to try it. Let me know and I’ll send you one. $4.00 each. I posted a proper trigger tune procedure using all the original springs that brings the trigger to around 3lbs. I would highly recommend trying this first. Very simple to perform. Thanks. Good luck.
