58 and sunny highs in the 70’s. Made the cheesecake yesterday and was all set to have a piece for lunch but no. My daughter asked if she could have it to give to the town RFD. Her daughter’s birthday was last week and of course because of COVID-19 she couldn’t have friends over for a party. So the RFD showed up to the house with lights flashing and sirens blaring. My granddaughter was ecstatic. It really made her day so I guess I can give up the cheesecake to a special RFD.

Sounds like a great time for all and a grand gesture!

Got down to 58°this morning. It felt great walking the dogs. Took a trip to UPS to mail off a clarinet overhaul and now working on a tenor sax. It's supposed to be sunny through next Wednesday.

Yeah, tell me about it. The Mayo just loves to use that darn thing. They also love ultra sounds. The upside of that is it's usually a nice looking young lady that does that. Then there's that darn stress test EKG. They run you on the treadmill to get your heart rate up and then literally jerk you off it backward onto the table. Oh well, they've kept me alive so far.

54 this AM with scattered rain showers today. They say 75 by evening.

58 and sunny, heading towards 80, my wife (a retired teacher)is the teacher of some of our grandkids. They have "school" in the morning and the afternoon free time so one of them just called and wanted to know if she could go plinking after lunch. I told her I could fit her in my busy (retired) schedule. WooHoo looks like a great afternoon.

RR...just wondering; with all that beautiful land around you, why do you need a range.
If it's for the camaraderie, then I can understand; or for whatever reason, I understand. Just curious.

Lots of the land close by is private owned and leased by owners/ranchers. Cattle everywhere. large areas posted no trespassing. Even riding there are places you can go and places you can't. I could drive out to no man's land and shoot but my range is 10 minutes from home. Lots of rules and regulations here about distance from roads, buildings, parks, crown land, hunting seasons, etc. It isn't the camaraderie cuz I usually have the range to myself...haha. There is a place south of here that I can go and shoot long distances which I will do with my high wall some day.

Dogs rousted me up about 6:20 this morning. I nice cool 63° felt really good. Got breakfast and now loafing a bit. Not much work to do today. I'm trying to hide out from the wife so she won't have me running around or other nonsense. Wish me luck.
