New Henry owner here...

Post by Blackjack77 » Thu Apr 30, 2020 12:18 am

Hey all,

Proud owner of my First Henry Rifle today!!! It's been years coming, but finally got the go ahead from the warden and put my money down on a .45LC Big Boy carbine. I originally wanted the classic big boy, but fell in love with the shortened barrel of the carbine as well as the large loop lever. Wanted her in a legitimate cowboy load which is why I went .45LC. Ammo cost be damned! I wanted an authentic old west load for a seriously authentic looking old west rifle! Such a beauty!

Im kot kidding; what can I say? She's gorgeous!! Dont think I could ever bring myself to shoot her, shes just so nice looking! Like an heirloom piece that should be mounted over the fireplace, not shot at the range, but...nonetheless, I'll be heading to the range tomorrow to take her for her first spin. If she shoots half as well as she looks, she wont be my last Henry.

Welcome from Nebraska. From experience, keep a soft cloth with it to remove drool marks. 😂

Welcome to the forum, blackjack. Mighty fine place to be. Go ahead & shoot the new Henry, it'll get bored hanging over a mantle.

Hello Blackjack, welcome aboard. Yep she's a Cowboy caliber.
Hope she shot as good as could be. A range report when you have time.
