Got mine on the 15th. It'll go to a newer ( I don't buy new cars) vehicle fund.

Re: Is the money there...yet?
I am registered with the post office to receive "Informed Delivery" notifications. They send me a daily email with photos of the envelopes that I should expect in my mailbox and tracking numbers of parcels to be delivered soon.
So, when I got notified that there was an envelope to be delivered from the IRS, I wondered. Was there something wrong with my 2019 tax return? I paid what was owed with a direct withdrawal from my checking account. I knew they had my payment. It was recorded in my bank statement. So, what was it about? I was a little worried. I'd never been contacted by the IRS before. This photo is from the USPS email.
Well, lucky me. It wasn't actually from the IRS. It just looked like it.
The envelope had an IRS/Treasury return address and it was presorted as first class mail paid for by the IRS, but it wasn't from them. It was a letter on White House stationary and signed by the president, notifying me that I would be receiving an "Economic Impact Payment" of $1200. I got the direct deposit payment a month ago on April 30th.
Whew! Nothing to worry about. It was just a little presidential PR wearing an IRS mask.

Well, I didn't get a check, but today, I got a Visa debit card instead. I was doubtful at first, but after checking around, it was legitimate. My check was a debit card. I called my bank to see if I could deposit it like a check. They said I could. I followed the instructions and now I have a debit card.
I shouldn't say this, but it feels like a welfare card I see the people using in the grocery stores ahead of me in line. I don't want to sound this way, but I can't help it. It just feels weird, odd. I'm wishing I got a paper check instead.

Re: Is the money there...yet?
I just about ground my debit card up in the paper shredder, I thought it was just another one of those pre-approved credit card deals that I get all the time. Then was reading Yahoo news and read a blurb about people destroying these cards which are really their stimulus money, I guess I was looking for paper check.daytime dave wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 7:18 pmWell, I didn't get a check, but today, I got a Visa debit card instead.
