Range finally Opening

Post by Shakey Jake » Mon Apr 27, 2020 10:29 am

Got the email that the range was finally opening with shorter days/hours. Wednesday -Friday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m/ Saturday and Sunday 8:00 a.m-7:00 p.m. Guess I'll start making up for lost time. I don't know if they'll extend our yearly passes since we couldn't shoot for over a month. I guess they'll be asked that question quite a bit.

Great news. I have been lucky as the public range in Mo. never closed. Happy Shooting burning up all that ammo you reloaded.

I'm gettin' antsy with our ranges being closed. Thinking of heading to the desert: won't need gas, tank is full. Bring my own sandwiches and refreshments, so no need to stop for that stuff. No socializing with anyone; just setup some re-active target, shoot, pick everything up and head home after a few hours. This is do- able! Must stop thinking, gives me a headache! To the garage!

Our Shoot PointBlank allows members to shoot Monday thru Friday from 10:00 till noon-only a 2 hour window-I decided not to even attempt to shoot-probably have a waiting line and by the time you got in they would be closing the range.

I may just go shoot out in the boonies this weekend too. Trigger finger real itchy.

How much farther to the desert Tom. I like them wide open spaces myself. Thats the reason I go to the grasslands here. No range officer and no fee. Just set up shoot and pickup and go home. Its about 25 miles one way for me.

Do you still have the 327 Henry Jake? Just curious if you were going to keep it and shoot it or you got rid of it.

Al, about 65 miles one way. But, worth it to me. Like you said, no range officer or fee. I love the desert, always have.
For outdoor shooting, can't beat it.
