I haven't been doing anything on the bench lately, due to the wind, rain, and large tree branches hanging over my range, so no unloading of rounds. I don't want to say that I'm all caught up, but it's darn close. I've been in the same area however (garage) on my Ham Radio. Thankfully I have that. Here's a picture of my station.

Are there still a large group of folks into ham radio? My brother and I were into the CB radio action back in the late 60's.
He worked at a CB radio repair shop and had his 1st class FCC license when he was 18. He also worked at various radio stations
as engineer on the night shifts. He used to build power amplifiers for some CB guys back then.
One time back then we were talking to some guy in the Virgin Islands on a 5 watt walkie talkie hooked up to a 100 watt amp
at night when the skip was good!
Back in the 70's dad was heavy into the CB"s, the mobile unit he had was BA and could really talk.
He'd get up early and go sit in his Dodge van with coffee and talk to people all over. He talked about the skip also.
It was more powerful than his base sat.

More good memories of dad. Thanks guys.

Heck yeah Al, I could always put it to good use, but I'd feel better if I sent these 45 LC Factory Cowboy action stuff that I've had in the armory for awhile.

Very nice setup. Moe
Have fun.
I've got the same wind, rain, trees, branches to deal with. Seems
to never end.
Thanks Larry. Under these trees ain't no fun. Maybe one of them cowboy hard hats would work. I should have kept mine when I worked in the field. Lol

Well moving on to load up 15 rounds using same 230 lead bullet but with the .050 shorter Hornady FTX case and 25.9 gr. of MZ.
The shorter case places the bullet at just touching the powder which is what Alliant recommends. I then can seat the bullet at or just a hair below the step before the nose radius begins and a medium crimp over top. COL works out to 1.540. 1.590 is where I was at with the std. Colt 45 brass when loaded with Red Dot.

I have this Chief of Staff here thats retired. Im sure you have one of those at your house dont you? When she has a beer or 2 these yard orders start to appear. Ive been getting the yard up to speed for her. We have some fountains and I needed to get the sprinkler system going. Shes my best friend in life so I dont mind doing whatever she needs done. The 41 bullets are the MC 225 bullets. For some reason when I use those I get a case that will hang and the bolt extractor just wont pull them out. Its the only bullet I have issues with. I have some SWC lead bullets that feed like butter along with the Xtreme copper plated bullets. The Hornady XTP 210 work great also no issues only with the MC 225 bullet. I shot them in my Ruger 41 and got quite a bit of leading. Im just going to shoot the plated and XTP bullets. Might try some Speer deep curl bullets or some Noslers if SPS gets some seconds back in. The Speer deep curls and really reasonable. But there out of stock every where now.
