Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Got up about 6 this a.m. to walk dogs. It was about 60° and is only supposed to get up to the mid 70's. Maybe the last cool weather we'll have before it turns too hot.

37 this am and headed to mid 50's trying to melt off the snow we got. Might try a grasslands trip this afternoon havent decided yet.

Was 46 and misting. Currently 48 and still misting. Maybe 56 later with more misting.
Has been unusually dry here. So much so rural burn ban went into effect.

The sun is about to come up in CT and will shine for most of early part of the day followed by clouds. The temperature should reach the upper fifties or more. It should be pleasant and mild. Enjoy your day.

27° out, and looks partly cloudy. Dogs fed, and 1st mug of coffee in the Gadsen Flag is down. Looking at another one soon. Breakfast sandwich is on the menu. Toast or muffin, spicy sausage cheese, and egg. I make the same one almost every day.
This tradition started back in 1990 while on patrol off the coast of New England in some very rough seas. The cook was seasick, as well as everybody else except myself and the skipper. Anyway we were hungry, so I went down to the Galley and made a variation of the above sandwich.
I think I made 10 of them. Eventually most of the crew had one. I was the Chief Engineer, but that day I was the Chief cook.

In the forties this morning. The 4" of snow we got Friday finished melting last night. Think it is now time to take off the snowblower and put the mower deck on the lawn tractor. There was some controversy but I believe it is alright now to mow in Michigan. I may even set up targets for my new pellet gun. Have to see how I feel, seems I have shin splints.

39 under a beautiful Carolina Blue sky when we awoke this morning .... its supposed to get up to 72 later today wit rain moving in after dark and hanging around for the rest of tonight and most of tomorrow .... some good news in that while calling for steady rain, there is no mention of thunderstorms .... eggs, sausage and Folgers in a Henry mug to start out the day

25 this morning but heading into the high 50's, good day to set up the deck furniture and get ready for nice weather. Tea time.

31 now heading to the mid 60’s. Planning to spray weeds today as we have no rain forecast until mid-week. Believe it or not, we are in the midst of a mini-drought right now which typically is our rainy season. Go figure huh? Nice cup of Folgers down with another on the horizon. Planning to put a pork roast on the smoker today so need to run to the store for apple juice and a few other essentials. Go early while the store is empty.

Right before I got to the daughter's yesterday I saw this big bird, standing right beside the road. By the time I got turned around he was moving away.

OK, had my coffee and Rice Krispies withstraw berries early this morning. I'm trying to eat up the cereal that the Grandkids would have eaten before it goes stale. Miss the little buggers. Even the fifteen year old that is over six foot now. I've told him to quit growing, but he just grins. Nice kid. Love him to pieces.

Refinished some more kitchen cabinet doors this morning and reinstalled them this afternoon.

Little windy but in the forties and low fifties so I went down to the lake to put the dock it. Wasn't long till the Wife came down to help. Every Fall we winch it up on the shore out of the water and ice. Then in the Spring I have to persuade it to go back in. Also we remove the deck and store it standing against a tree. Have to put that back on. Then get the 14 ft. Alumacraft into the water and get the cushions between it and the dock in place. All done. Even had time to work on the drive a little.

It was a good day all in all.

Oh, and a good friend that I haven't heard from all Winter called, and the Legion Trap and Skeet Range will reopen Wednesday. The Rifle Pistol range has been open all along.
