My first car was a 64 1/2 Mustang. Skylight blue. Had the old Falcon 17 ci straight six engine coupled to a really light duty 3 speed. I got very good at swapping transmissions on it. I would love to have it now. Although it would be an ongoing project keeping a 50+ year old car going.

its my wife's .... its a 2016 with less than 20,000 miles on it .... impressive performance and good mileage .... surprisingly comfortable, I could ride it cross country with no problem .... with my back, that's saying something ....

Yep. Mine was a '65 hardtop, gold. 200 cubic inch straight six IIRC. And a REALLY light duty 3 speed. I personally put 2 transmissions in it after the OEM blew - each one a Sears re-built that cost $100. Sure would like to have kept it.

Here’s my 68 California Special. It’s your typical anemic 60’s Mustang a 289 that slightly built with a mild cam and a conversion to a 500 cfm carb. Dual exhaust with OEM manifold. 2.79 rear is nice for the highway but nothing off the line. Just a nice cruiser, nothing more.

Over the years my boys had three. Two 65s and a 67. Fun cars that we wish we still had. Course Dad, that's me, had a 74 Corvette.
Right now I have two vintage Mustangs stored in my barn for a good friend. He'll come get them when the weather settles down.

Built it mostly for street. With the 427 cubes based on the Dart big bore block I have it cammed for max torque and power below 6200 RPM.
Makes 560 HP and about 550 Torque at 5600 and 4300 RPM and runs it's best with just a 3.50 rear gear.
Some years ago it was running in the 10's at 132 with the drag setup wheels and tires. Engine been in there for 10 yrs. now!

My boy has bought a Stang killer. Camaro transitioning into a ZL-1. I can’t imagine these cars. I loved my buddies 69 camaro. We built and built...couldn’t touch today’s cars.

I just love the simplicity of tuning with a screwdriver on the old carbed muscle cars. My 85 was the last of the carbed Mustangs.
Has a pair of 660 CFM Holley carbs. At a 2870 lb. running weight it's a plenty!
