Henry Big Boy 45LC trigger problem

Post by ArizonaKid88 » Sun Apr 12, 2020 11:50 am

Hello all, i have came across a problem with my Henry, every so often when i fire off a round, the trigger wants to hang up, and i either have to reset it by hand, or cycle the lever to get it back into position, anyone know what could be causing this? Ive completely taken the rifle apart and inspected the parts visually, but i couldnt find anything suspicious. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum from CT. You may get some advice about what is happening with that trigger from our members, but you should also call Henry tomorrow and speak with customer service about it. They are dealing with constraints because of the pandemic, but they will certainly be able to help you even if it takes a bit longer than usual.

Here is an updated list of Henry contacts. Keep us posted. Thanks.

Ive had to send some of mine back. One of them twice. Another one just recently. No one likes the idea but Henry does make it pretty easy.

Dang, im glad they got it fixed for you, i usually do the tinkering on all my firearms, but i have never messed with a trigger, maybe a weak spring, or a burr, or heck it may just need some grease. I may try taking it down again, and greasing it, if that doesnt work i ll let the pros at Henry do their magic.
