Re: Trains
I may have already posted this a few years ago, but if anyone want to witness happiness, here it is. It's the J-611 returning to Roanoke after being restored again in NC. It's back under it's own power for the first time in 20 years. Click to full screen and be sure to turn up the volume:

Re: Trains
There is a fine outdoor RR museum in Union, Il. West of Chicago , about 50 miles , on US. 20. Right next to a Western Town and museum. Nice double feature. Our biker group would go there every year as one of our members was a volunteer there. Got to ride in the engine cab on the one working train they had. Way cool!!!

I too have a fondness for the Chicago and Northwestern. 4 generations of my family worked on the C&NW. My father was born in the living quarters of a C&NW depot.

Re: Trains
We are at that museum at least 3 to 4 times a year. It's growing, with a new edition being a small town.
I never take myself seriously....

Anyone that is interested in O scale should check out Eric's Trains on u-tube.
Re: Trains
What era is the small town. Might have to check it out as we are going to be in the Dekalb area (hopefully) in two weeks.Dahliathemeh wrote: āWed Apr 29, 2020 6:22 pmWe are at that museum at least 3 to 4 times a year. It's growing, with a new edition being a small town.
