Al, I'd agree exactly with Cowboy's eval of both the .410 and .45LC. The all-steel derringer is heavy and handles recoil with very little difficulty for either caliber. Also using Cowboy-action loads like CGF has is a plus.
Although that .410 caliber is marketed as a "snake slayer," which it is, with practice the derringer can reach out with center fire ammo as you saw in the videos. One time I shot mine at a black steel target and tried the "Back-Up" drill. If I recall, I think I reached 25 yards before I missed both o/u rounds. Darn good for me. Guess I "cheated" using a 3" barrel and even milder 9mm rounds.

It was a fun shoot.
