The Old Board?
Just curious on how many of us here are from the old board? I know Dave was there before I was, then Gene joined. I know we have or did have some others transfer over, but I lost track on who. What a difference from those old days. There were times that no one would post for days. I would say that it came real close to diminishing.

I was on the 'old' board.
I lost interest due to it being so slow and about a year later discovered the new forum.

Re: The Old Board?
I was on the old board, too, until it basically died. Then, I joined Rimfire Central. As soon as I read a post there (by Henry88, I believe) that Dave and Gene had created this forum, I signed up that day; one day after it went live. Since then, I've never been back to Rimfire Central.

Re: The Old Board?
I was on the old one also.
Used to pop in from time to time but hardly ever much happening.
Not sure how I found out the this one, but
somehow slipped in at the last few minutes of the first day.
This one too was slow in the beginning, but it's picking up now.

Re: The Old Board?
Yeah, I was part of that old "bored" group when it fizzled away. Posts were more than scarce. Remember there was that faint rabbit trail to follow to find the new HRF. Recall also that there were chats about Henry forum on RFC, part of the hunt. Still hard to believe it was four years ago....so quickly gone! :*)

Re: The Old Board?
Almost all of the first 100 members were from the old board and were given the status of founding member if I remember right. I think their name is a different color if you were not given another status like admin.

He hasn't been here since Oct 19, 2019. I sent him an email, but got no reply. I hope he's OK, too. I miss his morning music posts and comments.

I wonder if we can move these folks to the empty saddles thread as just MIA? might be too much to manage.

I am from the old board. I joined as soon as I heard the new one was opened up. Still like it here and hope it stays a long time.

Re: The Old Board?
I remember the old board when it was very active. I think there were around 1,200 to 1,800 members. A lot of knowledgeable folks all sharing that knowledge and getting along. I'm not sure how international it was. At least I don't remember.

Re: The Old Board?
If you go to the forum home page near the bottom it will list the people that have been online in the last 24 hours. Anyone in Orange is a founding member and came from the old forum.

Gene,
I always thought that the Orange meant the first 100 Members here. Were we all from the old board out of co-incidence?

Re: The Old Board?
I would guess only a couple if any of the first 100 were from the old board because most of the first 100 joined within a few days of this forum being born.Cowboy Gun Fan wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 4:10 pmGene,

A few from the old board joined after we hit 100 so just because they aren’t in orange does not mean they were not on the old board.

Re: The Old Board?
That was before I discovered it. Although I remember you all talking about it. By the time I got there it was in rough shape and for a while it was practically just me and you Dave.daytime dave wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 3:02 pmI remember the old board when it was very active.
