Henry/Winchester Model 66??

Post by blueswiss » Tue Mar 17, 2020 12:36 pm

Hoping someone can help on 'ballpark' value of this.

For sale by an individual unknown to me.

Not my area of collecting, not at all but have this person who is looking to sell me what I think(?) is a Model 66 Henry/Winchester Yellow Boy rifle.
I know nothing about these.
Don’t believe it is factory engraved.

Dedicated to Nathan Bedford Forrest. Civil War battle sites on both sides of action.
Hoping it isn’t stolen but if it were, would think distinctiveness of the engravings would give it away.

Groups interchange info on these, so if it was stolen, would hope that it was publicized and collectors in the groups would know and be watching for it.

I collect WW2 German.
We stay in touch on ‘hot’ items to protect each other.
If not stolen, I’ve no clue as to value I should offer individual.
These are all pictures I have currently.
He’s supposed to get more for me tonight.

Thank you,

Tim
