Most public and private schools in CT are closed, some until further notice. Most universities and colleges have suspended on-ground classes in favor of online.

I question some the reporting spilling into opinions of the person reporting and then alarming people with those opinions

Sadly, you are not alone. However, Journalists and Op-Ed Columnists are not the same and they perform completely different roles, though Op-Ed Columnists are way too often mistaken for Journalists... and they do stir things up for ratings and clicks.

They can't even get the weather report right. I watch what the deer and other animals are doing and can figure the weather closer than those clowns can get it with all the stuff they have to work with. Where else can you be wrong as much as the weather forecasters and keep your job? ;)

Meteorology is a science, while forecasting is an art/skill. In the latter, there are marksmen and there are plinkers. Somewhat like shooting. ;)

Nice pic RP! What was your horse's name? How did you like packing your rifle in that position?

Was at the grocery store Thursday. Well stocked except for Toilet paper. Had to go back today to get some allergy medicine. The place was gutted of most food stuffs, except for potato chips.

Her name was Pretty girl but I didn't name her, I called her Zombie  She had some wicked white eyes.
With the long barrel and it stuck out so far I didn't like her sweating on the butt stock.
I wouldn't of wanted to have fallen on it, I could shoot from her but only done it a couple times.
She would just jerk a bit no jump or buck.
Could go bout anywhere ya wanted on her.
Somebody offer enough and I let her go.

Maybe I'm stupid, but I just don't get it.
When, and under what circumstances am I, or anyone, supposed to start using this two week or more supply of food and toilet paper?...kinda redundant when ya don't know if or when your area or region is infected. Even then; when all runs out, then what?
Go out and get more, and risk getting sick again???
Heck, if I find out I'm positive, then, quarantine and live through it, I could still pass it on to loved ones or others.
Wish someone could address these simple questions! Guess they just don't know....that's the scary part.

Minimum of 6 weeks of no school here in WA state. I could survive for a month on canned goods, frozen stuff and TP I have on hand, going to try my weekly shopping Monday morning and will see what it's like. Other than TP, stores were normal last week. I do need some coffee, only have 2 or 3 weeks worth on hand. Water in the well so no problem there as long as power stays on, have the creek and a gallon of bleach if it comes to that. Just filled 3-10gal. propane tanks for the 5th wheel so could cook for quite a while on that if we had to.

I don't know how much longer I can hold out.

Coronavirus Pandemic, day 16.
If anyone is still out there, I’m alive but struggling. Food is running low. Down to only 459 days worth. My hands are super sanitized and my butt is super clean. Power still on, but for how long? Missing human interaction. I fear dark days ahead. News is all bad. Last few friends have attempted to leap from windows to their death, (or near death... most have single story homes so they are badly bruised). Basic necessities are gone though. NBA, NHL, NASCAR, NCAA, PGA, all gone. Basic Survival is a definite challenge. I vow to persevere to the end, I am a survivor! Please, if there is life out there, communicate!!!!!.....

This is testing people who thought they were prepared for everything. And those who were never prepared for anything are learning a hard lesson.
