Good movies lately?

Post by Greyhawk » Thu Mar 05, 2020 8:52 pm

Anyone watched any good movies/shows lately? Last night I watched 'Ford Verses Ferrari' and I really enjoyed it. Just curious if anyone has seen anything lately that the rest of us may want to check out.

Had several friends that suggested that one.
I watched a documentary on Carroll Shelby last week, and I enjoyed it.
I do want to see the new Call of the Wild though.

My girls and I watched an awesome sled dog movie a few weeks ago called Togo. It was really good.

Several new ones we would LIKE to see. Did see Ford vs Ferrari though and enjoyed it.
BTW, I have a book, " The Cobra Story " autographed to me by Carroll Shelby. My Dad gave it to me when I was a boy. He knew Carroll.

Recently watched a favorite of mine again - 'Insomnia' with Al Pachino & Robin Williams.

If you are into Psycholgical thrillers it is a good one - and Robin Williams does NOT play a comedic role in the movie...

This is a niche RomCom that, as a life-long Beatles fan, I very much enjoyed.

Just finished watching Episode 2 of Resistance (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3587846/?ref_=ttawd_awd_tt ) on PBS' Masterpiece Theater. There are six episodes in all (I'm recording it). It's a sub-titled French language production about young patriots engaged in undermining the German (and French collaborators) occupying France in 1941. It's a well done series based on actual persons and events. I'm liking it quite a bit.

'The African Queen' on Pluto Classic channel this morning.

Digitized, sound improved and in high def!

Like watching a new movie!

TAQ has often been regarded as the first 'Modern' action/adventure movie that set the standard for most to come.

I watched the remake of the Magnificent 7 last week....light on story but lots and lots and lots of guns and shooting. Good fun. Looked like quite a few Henry rifles.
