Yep. They work pretty good in that regard. I use x-treme plated 230gr in my .45 acp.

I ordered one box of the .357 158 gr. SWC Xtreme to try (first order was freight free) and REALLY like them.

I can however get HSM plated locally for a bit cheaper and they are just as good actually.

I will however probably order a box of Xtreme .30 cal 110 gr RN for .30-30 loading and HOPE they are as accurate as jacketed. I think they will be however.

OK, no one asked my opinion, so here it is.

Chevy, Ford, Dodge. We all have our favorites for various reasons. One of the great things about hand loading is the ability to experiment and play with a boat load of alternative rounds one would never have thought of.
Personally, I like jacked for my pistols, cast for my rifles (.357, .45). My blackhawks like jacked better than cast, but I typically shoot pistol at the 25 to 50 yard range, but my El Patron likes cast or jacked.

Rifle, my Henry's are Big Boys and preform well with the cast. I sight in at 100 yards and print at 50 yards so I know my point of aim. However, my sons .357 BB is a carbine with a shorter barrel and we do see a difference.

So here is the bottom line. I've hand loaded since the early 70s, and the more I read the more I know I don't know. I have learned a lot from all of the OG's on the forum. Rifle Tom, Vaquero, Mr Ed, Big Al, etc. Al learned men who have lots of experience. Listening to them has motivated me to try other loads I never would have (received those Missouri Bullet 180 grn Hi Tec).
