Might end up with an improved load tube anyway.
my experience was they replace both the outer and inner magazine tubes

No need to make a big deal out of it. If THEY want to do it...let them.
As Randy said, he'll probably get a hat or a mug or something.😁

I think that's what he was trying to do was to AVOID the 'big deal' of sending it in by them just sending him the tube.

Hate to see that, Randy. Maybe they will replace it with one stronger. Hope it's not gone long. I hate the waiting.

A new tube sent would have been much easier all around.

I can only imagine what their service receiving dept. looks like.

Pissed today boys, wife sent me a message earlier with a pic of a ups note saying they tried to deliver a package.

Why the Hell did Henry send it without notification?
Not happy

The two times I had returns sent from Henry, I didn't get a heads up either. Just lucky that my late wife was home each time. Granted that was a few years ago and Henry should have improved their procedures, but it appears not.

Since I live alone now (and because these services are available), I created an online account for both UPS and USPS to alert me to pending deliveries. UPS sends an email and allows me to specify where at my home I want the packages delivered (my back deck) and lets me reschedule expected deliveries when I need to. USPS sends me an email each day with a scanned photo of each piece of mail to expect that day as well as tracking information and dates when packaged deliveries will be expected. It's been great.

Same here Randy. I got the UPS notice on the door. Wife wasnt home that day. Got it the next day no issues but I think since they give you that follow along with there progress link in there repair recall they think you will see it there. I did check that after I got my notice and in fact it was noted there. Not sure if thats the case but just my guess. I wish they would notify you to but didnt happen to me either as I said.

Not that it justifies it, or makes it right but I'll bet their service department is backed up to who knows where.

If you factor the number of Henry's sent back for repair from just those reported on this forum it's a pretty high number - and this forum ain't that big. Add in the ones we DON'T hear about being sent back and I'll bet it's a bunch!

Bottom line is NO gun should sent back to the customer without notification first!

Guess I got lucky. Henry gave me a tracking # when they sent back my SGC, so I knew exactly when it was coming.
Bad news is, it all took longer than I expected.
Sounds like you at least got a pretty quick turnaround Randy. Please let us know how the " fix " went. I'll be curious to know if they put the beefed up barrel band on, like in my pic of my 357.

I tried using their stupid progress link a couple three or four times never worked.
First off the tube is an easy repair could have done it myself, then no notification, I could have made sure someone would have been here.
Sure it's just one more day, it's just the principal of the matter.

Ok rant over, time for a cold B&T.

As most know about yesterday. ;)
It arrived safe and sound today, according to the wife about 15 before I got home.
Apparently the newer style mag tube design doesn't match the older, and mounts at the end of the barrel and not a few inches before.
So looks like I got a new barrel also, think I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow and confirm. If so what twist it has.

Looks like load development is going to start over.

Glad it's back Randy, and glad to see it is reinforced which it should have been from the start. Let us know what you find out about the barrel.
