its 71 right now on the Colorado River near Columbus, TX .... at our destination today in Granbury, TX its currently 58 degrees and they are calling for that to be the high for today ....

Have you guys done the factory tour of the Bond Arms factory in Granbury? It would be cool to see how/where they build their O/U hand cannons, Jim.

Went out to the woodshed for a wheelbarrow load of wood earlier and felt something 'irritating' on my face and as I got back to the front door I ran my hand across my face and felt a SPIDERWEB !

Yes, spring is coming! There are "signs" of spring that I've been watching during local KC weather reports, and the reporters are getting excited. In particular, DST on March 8th and start of spring on March 19th --- both within a month. Plus the current temp fluctuations with often-warming trends into the 40s-50s in our region.

In my Old Farmer's 2020 Almanac, the February "Weather Prediction Rhyme" echoes the upcoming seasonal change...with a gentle word of caution that we really don't know what the weather will be. Fun to read anyway.

Temperatures tumble, groundhogs grumble, burrows buried under snow.
Rain impending as it's trending warmer.
Skiers muddle through each puddle. Could this be a thaw?
Naw!
Pile wood higher on the fire!

Going for my second Potter's mug of double mocha on this chilly, 28* morning.

Good morning, it's 37 ° and wet after some rain overnight. I'm going to shoot some .45 acp out of the 1911 today. I've finally got enough reloads to shoot it until my wrists get tired.
It's my day to cook breakfast. Sausage eggs, and toast.

41 chilly degrees this morning with it only getting up to 50 later today in Granbury, TX .... steady rain due to move in during the mid afternoon and to hang around until about this time tomorrow .... sausage and eggs with Folgers to start the day

I like that 4198, and use quite a bit, 35 Rem. 30-30, and 25-20.
Probably 5, or 6 lbs of it around here at the moment.
A friend of mine gave me his 4198 load for the 444, but I have yet to try it.

17 but clear skies with the sun starting to take a peek. Slept in a bit this morning and when I got up it was starting to get light outside. Loving these days getting longer. I’m excited to get outside and start cleaning up the winter debris. Nothing like sunshine, fresh air and some honest exercise.
