Very hot weather

Post by bandit1250 » Tue Jun 28, 2016 8:10 pm

The weather was very hot yesterday and today here. Today the breeze helped a little. Yesterday evening I started cleaning up the engine bay in my Tundra pickup. It went from being to hot to work on it to the bugs biting as the evening got closer to dark. I decided to finish the job this morning before it got to hot. I got it done as well as it needs to be for a 13 year old truck with a 150,000 miles on it. I can't stand a vehicle that is filthy under the hood. Normal wear from the heat and all the miles is expected but neglect I don't like. It looks better now than earlier and I do it about three times a year. If you keep up with it most of the time it makes the job easier.

That is really a nice looking job on a great truck. Those Toyotas go for a long time if you take care of them, easily 150,000 miles plus. I have had a guy detail my vehicles in the past and when he is done the whole car and the engine looks like new. It is just something that I can't tackle myself anymore.

You do a nice job. What do you use on the engine?
