Graf and Sons
Went to order dies, bullets and powder from them for the first time. Got to the checkout window and received a notice that I had to order at least four pounds of powder. Hmmm.......sorry I'll take my business elsewhere this time. I don't need four pounds of powder right now for .223. Ordered the dies from EABCO and I'll get the rest from my LGS.

Ive never had any issues with Grafs. I like them and have ordered from them alot but never got anything like that. I think I would have called them to see what there problem was.

Re: Graf and Sons
Don't think they had a problem except they have a minimum of four pounds of powder per order. I just didn't want four pounds. Maybe it's something new.

I have ordered from Graf in the past. Don't recall if there were any issues. Most of my online ordering for reloading supplies, is with
Mid South Shooters Supply, in Clarksville, TN. Prices are reasonable & service is good. Check 'em out, see what you think.

Grunt, I have used them also, Yep good service.
I've never bought powder online, don't like all those extra fees.

LOL, yep, hazmat fees are thru the roof. Only did that one time when I got caught with my pants down, so to speak, and needed it in a bit of a hurry, and couldn't find it in a store.
If you're ever up around Mt. Juliet, go by the Reloaders Bench on No. Mt. Juliet rd., just off I-40. They're pretty well stocked on reloading stuff, prices reasonable. I was by there this Am, got a couple of manuals.

Re: Graf and Sons
Others have mentioned them too, maybe the next time I'm up that way I'll pay 'em a visit.
Used to buy a lot of powder from Dave from the TGO site, when they would do the gunshow here.
But I haven't been to any of the recent ones, and don't know if he still makes that show anymore.
He always had good prices and gave discounts to TGO members.

I bought some stuff from Dave, haven't seen him for quite a while. Last I heard he had mostly quit the shows. I go to most of the shows around here, Lebanon, Murfreesboro. Even made the Tulsa show once a few yrs ago. Unbelieveably large show.

Re: Graf and Sons
Their Hazmat fee was only $12.50 which I didn't think was bad at all. I think they should have had a disclaimer about the 4 pound minimum when adding powder to your cart instead of after you're going through the check out process. It would have made things clearer. I'm not mad, just a bit disappointed.

Re: Graf and Sons
Ya and I misread your post to Jake very well could be on the powder end of it. Ive only ordered Black from them. I see right now they have free Haz mat if you spend 200 on powder.

Re: Graf and Sons
Here in the Memphis area there are no gun stores to buy more than a pound or 2 of powder at a time-I buy quite a bit from Midsouth Shooters also-last time it was purchase from Powder Valley-their price on Win 296 was good and also bought 2000 primers also.
I do wish there was a store local where a person could get 4 pound jugs or primers by the 1000-Bass Pro not so much.

Re: Graf and Sons
Wow, I would have figured you would have a better selection than I.
We have Academy, no bargains, I have to go to Savannah, or Bolivar for any decent prices, and
that is still hit or miss. $36 a 1000 is the best I've seen on primers in the past year.

Powder Valley is another good place to buy form, kinda forgot about them. I've bought quite a few bullets from there. Good folks also.krunchnik wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2020 7:56 pmHere in the Memphis area there are no gun stores to buy more than a pound or 2 of powder at a time-I buy quite a bit from Midsouth Shooters also-last time it was purchase from Powder Valley-their price on Win 296 was good and also bought 2000 primers also.

Re: Graf and Sons
I don’t buy many reloading components online due to shipping costs but I do use Graf and Sons for the Sierra bullet I use for competition. Grafs offer a quantity discount and one price shipping so I try to make one purchase per year of this bullet. So far so good with Grafs other than one time they were out of stock on my bullet
