Outstanding customer service

Post by bdbrown66 » Tue Jan 28, 2020 6:28 pm

A week or so ago, I purchased my 3rd Henry lever, a Big Boy Steel in .45 Colt. When I was examining the gun at my LGS, I noticed a flaw where the stock meets the tang, but the rest of the gun seemed to be good to go. After I got it home, I took a pic (attached) and sent the pic in an email to Anthony Imperato. Literally 2 minutes later, I had a response from Mr. Imperato, thanking me for being a Henry collector and saying that someone would contact me to arrange for a replacement stock and foregrip. Ten minutes after that, a customer service person emailed to ask for my delivery address for the replacement wood, 2nd Day UPS. Folks...**that** is how you do customer service, no matter what business you are in. You start with a fine product to begin with, then pay attention to what your customers' concerns are.

Here is the pic for reference:

Well done, Henry.

Oh, yes...and they sent me a new gun case for my trouble, free of charge.

Here is the new stock. Perfect fit, looks great. Very happy customer.

Yup. My first purchase I had a small issue, shooting my 22 over the weekend. Went to the website on a sunday morning to see what I might do... Saw Anthony's promise and emailed him and figured I might hear back by the end of the week. HE called me an hour later...
"Is this a bad time? I'm sitting in a hotel, catching up on my email, if I'm interrupting?". We chatted for forty five minutes, he said he would have the right person in touch first thing Monday. They made it right. I was so impressed, I added the 357 Carbine.
You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Excellent. My email to him started off like this:

----------

Dear Mr. Imperato,

Congratulations on separating me from my hard-earned money for the third time in as many years. The struggle is real. Lol.

----------

It seems like very few people own just one Henry; and if they do, it's not for long. Service like this goes a long way towards building a loyal customer base.

And you got some fine-looking replacement wood furniture there. Very, very nice MO wood!! :)

Love to see good reports for CS. That can sometimes be a, well, not good. Hope I never have to use it.

bdbrown66, have you had a chance to shoot your Henry .45 Colt yet? If not, you're really gonna like that rifle. Trust me. And others.

During a cleaning and scope mounting session this afternoon I ran into a problem with my Henry H001L. The lever would only go half way. Tried several times but it wouldn't finish the cycle. Each try would yield the same result. I decided to tear it down and removed the hammer extender and the rear stock screw. The stock was easy to slide off and a thumbnail size wood chip fell out too. The stock was missing the chip and after reinstalling the stock (less chip) the action was perfect. Called Henry and a new rear stock is on it's way. Way beyond good service!
