My Grandma's Toasted pecans

Post by TMB » Sun Jan 19, 2020 3:46 pm

2/3 stick of unsalted butter (not margarine)
1lb of pecan half's
Sea Salt to taste

Pre heat oven to 375°
Melt butter in microwave
Toss pecans in melted butter then spread on a baking sheet in one layer.
Put baking sheet with pecans in the oven.
Turn off the oven
At this point my grandmother would go to bed for the night. I never knew how long she slept.
Leave the pecans in the oven for at least 2 hours.
Add sea salt to warm pecans. If you use salted butter don't add salt.
Enjoy!!

It's a good preparation for any other nut, as well! I would add just a little cayenne pepper, too.
