410 Axe Looks Great
410 Axe Looks Great
I don't have a plan as to what we would do with the Axe but it looks wonderful. There's a nice video of it on the Henry website here: https://www.henryusa.com/firearms/lever-action-axe-410/
I haven't seen one nor do I have plans to buy one at this point. But it sure has me thinking about it.

Re: 410 Axe Looks Great
I just bought the Full sized lever action a couple months ago. I wish I would have waited on this one with the side loading gate. Now I will have to get more funds up.

Re: 410 Axe Looks Great
I really like it.
Surprised MSRP is that high though. Shotguns of many kinds, have always been cheaper than rifles; or for that matter even some hand guns. Guess it's just the ML novelty.....and perhaps the side gate.

Found this one "in stock," Gene. Most shops it wasn't available. Better price than the MSRP.

Re: 410 Axe Looks Great
Thanks. I want the Axe but I think MRSP is the same. It will be a benchmark for what I’ll pay. I’m going to an indoor range today and then calling my LGS for a price. I’ve bought from one dealer many times and he is always the cheapest.PT7 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 7:26 amFound this one "in stock," Gene. Most shops it wasn't available. Better price than the MSRP.

You're welcome. If you are able to buy one, I think there might be some HRF folk who will look forward to your review and/or range report on it.

I see some on GB for sale. Some are still in the bidding process but others are there from about 720.00 to 760.00

Re: 410 Axe Looks Great
I just purchased one. It should be on the way to the dealer today or tomorrow hopefully. Thanks for posting about it, it will make a great home defense and snake gun / varmint gun. I will post some when I get it and then out to the range.

Re: 410 Axe Looks Great
Not a Mares Leg Fan or big loop at all but, the Ax with its 5+1 capability, never out side load, put a big lop on it sounds like an awesome Harry Situation firearm.
Staying within all state and local laws of course.

Re: 410 Axe Looks Great
Any updates from those of you that had Axes on order or coming in? Did they arrive and how are they working out? It is on my short list, but I am still scraping the price of admission together

Re: 410 Axe Looks Great
I like these little guns. The only problem is that none of my local outdoor ranges allow large guns without a shoulder stock. And u just can’t convince these people that the AXE is not a long gun. Same thing with Mosbergs shockwaves. In their book, they are shotguns and therefor they need to have a shoulder stock. Indoor ranges will allow them but only IF u shoot slugs, cutting down on the fun.
