the cloud cover is thinning and there are a few spots where one can almost see blue .... both AC's in use .... a drive over to the Willis, TX Post Office is on tap .... from there, we plan to stop by the Kroger grocery in Willis to pickup something to throw on the grill tonight and another to marinate for grilling later this week .... it is an outstanding store .... hope to get in a mile or so walk later today

slow grilled our first rack of Kroger's Baby Back Pork Ribs for this trip ..... we've come to enjoy their house brand ribs .... the rack even came with the membrane removed .... our Holland Companion Grill excels at slow cooking and they turned out great

another warm and dry day on Lake Conroe .... threatening clouds hung around to mid afternoon but no rain came with them .... bacon on the grill this morning and Huli Huli Chicken this evening ===> http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.p ... li#p103589 that along makes for good day .... much of our day was spent visiting with and getting to know new friends .... doing so is one of the things we enjoy the most about our travels

while I don't care for the 40 degree temp, I'm looking forward to spending the morning on a firing range with John (Shakey Jake) .... this afternoon, changing water filters & RO filters, cleaning grill drip pan and lubing outside stove burners on tap

when we got up this morning the sky had an interesting look .... its been a cool but rain free day, that's supposed to change tonight and the rain isn't supposed to move on until some time Thursday afternoon .... shortly after noon the wind slacked off and I was able to clean the rifle and revolver I used on the yesterday .... have to say that was an enjoyable, relaxing hour or so .... afterward we drove to Walmart in Conroe to pick up some odds and ends and on the way back to the campground stopped by an Amazon Hub to pick up a couple of orders .... all in all, its been a good day :D

today is Saturday, we are due to head out for our next Campground in Columbus, TX .... rain is supposed to move in later today and hang around until some time tomorrow .... Monday's forecast looks good but rain is called for on Tuesday (our travel day) .... accordingly, we plan to begin packing up .... examples : take up our patio carpet, sweep it, and pack it away .... take down and pack our outside cooking gear .... switch and recharge the water softener we've used the entire time we've been here .... take down/store our flag along with its display wiring .... we've enjoyed our first three weeks and its hard to believe its rapidly coming to an end

hard to believe we are due to pull out and move over to Columbus, TX tomorrow .... we are as packed up and ready to go as is possible and still be on full hookups .... NATURALLY, rain is supposed to move in after midnight and really be set in about the time we are due to get back on the road in the morning .. .. earlier today we had to make an unexpected drive to Conroe to have a problem with my wife's new computer taken care of and to meet a local gunsmith who will be doing some custom work on a rifle .... the truck has been filled for the first time since we were in Alabama almost a month ago .... tomorrow's drive is slated to cover only a little over 100 miles
