It is a nice evening here at 10:27 eastern time, and a nice breeze is blowing out on the screened-in porch. A storm is supposed to blow in overnight dumping some heavy rain. Having a Miller High Life in the "Heritage" can. Not a bad beer for $20.00 for a 30 pack.Image

I remember as a young kid, Dutch, when my Dad would bring home a cardboard box (guess a case) of the very same -- only in clear, glass bottles. The box had two flip top lids.

When the bottle was chilled and came out of the refrigerator, it looked real good on a hot summer evening.

Then Dad would pull out his trusty bottle opener and enjoy his "adult evening beverage."

Guess I was too young then...never had my own bottle, but got a taste of his drink now and then! ;)

Yep, I always say that it tastes better in the bottle.

I know you know, but let me just say, "she's a keeper". Her photographs are awesome and that painting is beautiful! Thanks for sharing the photos with us.

Just having some Brisk half iced tea and half lemonade tonight. A real refreshing drink. We had some really bad flash flooding here tonight and I got caught in it with the new RAV4 but she handled it well and sailed right through it!

I just made a tumbler of vodka gimlets. I hope everyone had a good day today. I guess I did. I started to make a workbench in the girlfriend's garage. I'm using my new DeWalt tools and loving how they work. You really do get what you pay for. Beats the heck out of my old Craftsman drill
/ driver.

How was your day?

My day was pretty good, even though I went to the dentist. Only had one cavity. Tonight in the cool evening air, Winnie and I had a nice walk in the neighborhood. Vodka sounds pretty good. Sometimes I mix the Absolut pear vodka with V8 Splash in various flavors.

Cool night here with rain coming. Having tea in the Henry mug, and watching an episode of Rawhide.
