Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Completed my bench re-design today. I have been a Redding guy for years, family bought me a Hornady AP progressive press for Christmas.
Completely res-designed my bench, used In Line Fabrications stuff (which is GREAT) to organize, and still have the ability to store my Redding press on the side of the bench. (I am using my progressive for 38/357, 45 Colt, .223 and my Redding for 7mm, 308, 45-70) for right now.
Now, nothing left to do by start to dial in the Hornady and install the case feeder and bullet feeder.

I have shot some 158 gr cast 357's out out 35 Rem don't remember the load.Ojaileveraction wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 9:10 pmI've wondered about those MBC .358 180 Pugnose and Striker for 35rem.That is indeed a good load Randy. Get the Missouri one's in yet? I am sold on those 180's!
nice little plinker load.
Really depends on bore size, and bullet size.
But yes 180 gr 35 is still some bad business on the receiving end.

That receiver sight is worth a quarter of the price of the rifle.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
No reloading today as I've got plenty of rounds in the closet. I need to get some more .32 S&W longs loaded for the Model 31.

Definitely not a bad price, good lookin rifle, made in '71.BigAl52 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2020 9:50 amhttps://www.armslist.com/posts/11002049 ... ifle----jm Here it is Randy. If you are interested let me know I know a guy who works there and I could put eyes on it for you if you wish.
Al my next rifle will be a 38-55 of some sort.
I have a friend in Texas that has a Marlin Cowboy with a 26" octagon that may come to Tenn. this year.
I think I can get it at a reasonable price, I just need to save a little more.
Then again maybe Henry will build a case hardened version.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
No Problem Randy. I have one of those Marlins in 38-55. I like it a lot. At one time thought about getting another but don't know why I need two of them so just held off. Besides that the price of them now is double what I paid for mine.

An hour and a half in the tumbler with stainless media. Then an hour separating and rinsing.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
I loaded some 45's earlier some 190 gr SWC's and some 200 gr RFN, both with 7.4 grs. of Red dot.
I did make up a couple of the SWC's first just to make sure they were gonna cycle through the Cowboy.
Maybe get to try 'em out tomorrow, coming a flood at the moment.
Guess I'll get back over there and load up some 44's for the BBB.

Re: What did you do at your reloading bench today?
Hey Tom, I've never used 2400 in the 45 colt, but my 45 colt (one book) shows 15.4 grs. with a 250 gr.
